Pullups=alpha, lat pulldowns=beta

Pullups are one of the manliest exercise out there.

I used lat pulldown machine only for starting my strength to do pullups. That is ok. But if you prefer machine over pullups then...

Some reasons why so many prefer machine:
1. Pulldowns are easier,you can swing your back and do them with ****ty form.
2. You can't do any pullups and you are ashamed to try them.

Moral of the story: Use good ol pullups for strength and mass!

the angle of motion/force/stress on the back is actually diferrent with lat pull downs

im not saying for everyone, but for my structure, pulldowns stimulate lats FAR more than pull ups

i always finish my back workouts with 5 sets of pullups, as many as i can do

on chest and shoulder day i will finish off with 5 sets of push up, as many as i can do.. wide and close stance

when i do my arms i will do diamond push ups for my tris and then i will do reverse grip push ups on the smith machine to finish off the day

all and all every week i can do more and more per set
