I grew up in the a muslim 'environment' and what not, even went to a muslim school. Realised I was pretty much agnostic when I was like 16, though. I grew up here all my life (been in NZ since I was 1) but my parents weren't, so it was always going to be a struggle with them.

Grew up with hardcore hindu parents and I am an agnostic.
I questioned everything they taught me when I turned 16 and they couldn't answer.
Listening to punk music like Bad Religion and NoFX kinda opened my eyes a bit too.

brb parents spent between $10,000 and $17,000 a year from kindergarden to 12th grade on school (x3 for my two siblings)
brb elementary school ending at 3:30, middle school ending at 4:30, high school ending at 5:30
brb couldnt use electronics from sundown friday until sundown saturday
brb walked to synagogue every saturday morning not knowing a thing they said because its all in hebrew
brb not eating pig, shellfish, meat from a non-kosher restaurant, meat and milk together
brb now despise organized religion and love myself a cheeseburger and lobsterNever neg first but always neg back crew
