Rippetoe SS question, finishing the final sets then going backwards

I was wondering if anyone has tried finishing a set, then going reverse and going back to the bar. Example

    2x5x43
    1x5x83
    1x3x113
    1x2x123
    3x5x128
    1x2x123
    1x3x113
    1x5x83
    2x5x43

Has anyone tried this? Have they gotten quicker gains using this method at all? The problem I have is after a set is done I ussally feel like I can do more of them, just but with lighter weights.

I would avoid doing this as you will most likely stall quicker (linear progression will be stalled).

You don't need more volume. You'll stall out faster.

Wait until you hit the tough part of the program.
    GOMAD!

i used to use this once in a while. keep in mind however that i wasn't doing anything remotely close to SS, and strength wasn't the goal. stick with the program.

That's essentially pyramiding but as people have pointed out above, you have no need to increase volume if you are doing Starting Strength. Stick with the program.
