It's coming brahs... Usually we get snow in the mountains about 3 weeks before we get it in town. There is one smaller mountain that the locals use as a gauge, when there is snow on it, we'll get it in town within 2 weeks.
Last night all the mountains, including the "gauge" got snow about 1/4 the way down. I have a feeling we'll be getting snow in a week.
From my front porch
Looking South. The one above the fire hydrant is the mountain used as a gauge.
from my back porch
Same mountain as above. I just took this yesterday. No snow and sunny.
As wet as the summer was, I have a feeling we gonna get raped this winter.

u mirin' my Jetta? I don't need 4WD.
There are no resorts around where I live. But people come from all over the world to do the Heli-skiing here.
yeah I got tons but I'll just post one..
This is in Valdez. I'm in the Coast Guard, but there's a lot of work in the oil industry. Homes on average are about $200K I think. I live in Coast Guard Family Quarters so I never shopped around.
Cost of living is pretty expensive.
Love it, love it, love it. I'm in the Coast Guard and got stationed here. I'll be leaving next summer and will probably cry.***Misc Survivalist Crew***

Not HDR.
We don't get 24 hours of sunlight. The closest is around 20 I believe, which is in July...I think. In the winter it's the opposite and it's dark the majority of the day.
There's only 4000 people in town, so you definitely recognize most people. Tourist stand out a lot too. lol. There's like 10 cops and 1 state trooper in town.
Yeah, I use the Coast Guard gym which I can literally throw a rock at from my front door, so it's pretty awesome. There's a larger one at the community college that most other people use.***Misc Survivalist Crew***
