    How many scoops am i suppoes to take per protein shake?

    so I was reading the instructions for the whey protein powder I just bought and it says for max muscle growth you have to take 2 scoops per proteins shake 3 times a day. If i do this, I will run out in about 7 days?

    Sorry im just new to this so I dont really know how much actual scoops to take per shake (or per day for that matter)

    id appreciate the help, thanks!


    also is it possible to consume 52g of protein per shake? i was reading here earlier that the most is around 30-35??

    Depends the contents of each scoop.

    I throw two in my shakes, 52g's of protein.

    I don't know how you're SUPPOSED to do it, but I take one scoop and add milk and lowfat yogurt to it to match the protein of 2 scoops.. that way I don't run out so fast

    well you need about 20-30 grams of protein per a meal so in a scoop I say aim for 25 grams of protein. On the back of the container look at the nutrional information and Im sure they would say per 100grams of powder so much is protein. so from that you can calculate how much of a scoop would give you 25 grams. one of my powders said take 2 scoops = 42 grams of protein. so I only took 1.

    I must have really crap protein powder as 2 scoops = 20g protein for me lol.

    False. You could have one meal with 180g of protein and be good for the day. There is no set number of amount of protein per meal you need, your daily protein is mainly based off of your bodyweight. You should just try to get in 1g protein/lb bodyweight per day (or just listen to what your body is telling you!)

    It's protein.... There's no right or wrong amount to take in a shake. It makes no difference. Overall intake of protein is what's important. But if you need to take more than 1-2 scoops a day your diet is bad
