Stick or deload after 1 week break...

    Hi,

My routine is 3x a week, compound movements, etc. When I stick to the routine I see gains both visually and in strength as well. I keep adding weight to all lifts every second workout, only if the previous two were successful. It goes well.
BUT... My question is what shall I do after lets say 1 week break due to work trip, etc.? Shall I stick to the previous weight and carry on or deload?

I generally just repeat the last weight used but some programs have what to do laid out for you. Really depends on feel imo.

I agree I would just repeat the weight used to get back into the swing of things. And honestly it really won't matter much as its only one day of training, not a major setback.

Its either deload or a break for me, never both.. (common sense implied as far as taking a break or deload away from travel schedule)

like others said, just pick up where you left off
