unfortunatly yes. theres really no way around it unless you only train like 3 days a week or something. with 4 days of training and 2 days of weight lifting per week theres really no way around it

you can do many things to help with soreness like eat more, supplements, messages, plenty of sleep, hot tubs, ext.

but yes if you train hard your going to be sore and its always going to be that way. Its something you mentally just adapt to and soreness is good shows that your training your body hard.

Weightlifters and bodybuilders are liberal phaggots. Don't listen to them.

With the OP being 17, I want to state some things that may be obvious to the more experienced...

Start to research active recovery techniques so you can go hard without as much soreness the next day.

Cool down exercise while you're still warm, quickly re-hydrating with electrolytes and glycogen, assisting the lactic acid flush with techniques like ice bath as well as foam rolling on the soft tissues (meaning muscles, not joints), and minimizing joint inflammation through ice and meds (when needed).

Rolling out the muscles on a 2 liter bottle that has been filled with water and frozen solid is also effective.

In addition to the ice (baths, packs for joints, 2L roller for soft tissue), Advil can be your friend for the inflammation, but watch for stomach issues because overuse of ibuprofen is known to cause ulcers.

    ---------

Also, know the difference between MUSCLE soreness and JOINT soreness.
Everyone above has expressed the feeling I share about working through muscle soreness....

If your knees, hips, ankles, shoulders, elbows, or wrists are hurting in the joints themselves, then lower your work volume and talk to your coaches/trainers about getting in some safe skill work while resting/rehabilitating a possible injured joint. (if it's bad or doesn't start feeling better in a few days, see the doc)
"I am only one man, but I am a strong man."

You don't want the following day's local newspaper headline to be "Dumbass dies on an AirDyne".

You will get better results if you train once your fully recovered. If your still sore when you go to workout then you should wait till you are full recovered. Your sore because thats your body telling you that your muscles are damaged and that their in the process of recovery. If you continue to damage them( working out while your sore), your muscle will damage more and not recover and remodel properly which does more bad than good. Just be smart about it. Recovery is one of the most important prospects of results. Good luck in your success!!

If he keeps getting sorer and sorer and it goes from soreness to pain then he should stop and recover. Otherwise, it is fine.

The only time it has been a problem is when my quads are really sore after a leg day, it kind of messes with my mobility a little during stand up drills but I guess you just learn to work around it
