Hi, HNMD, just want to thank you first. I love this thread, it $aves me a ton of work. I learned a lot just reading about everyone's experiences here. Anyway, is the ANGLE in the 10 (?) degree Panatta Plate Loaded Version adjustable? I am inclined to get the old Nautilus 10, 40, 50, 70 degree pec fly -- but when I saw the Panatta I decided to wait. It just takes up so much room for all the pieces. Also does Panatta have a Plate Loaded version of the MULTIPURPOSE CHEST that you pictured above. I almost bought the Powertec Multipress which does multiple angles also but they changed it so that it can only do chest and not shoulders. I got in late in this thread, so can you direct me on how to order a piece with you guys? Thanks.

I believe the Panatta incline flight is 20 degrees and isn't adjustable. Chris can correct me if I'm wrong.

1) I have the Nautilus Power Plus 10 degree chest, shown in this thread
2) The Panatta is essentially as good as the Power Plus 10 degree, but offers a foot pedal as well. When I was there using it and looking at it, I could have sworn it was 20 degrees, but they are saying it is 30 degrees (I'm sure it is 30 degrees, but my initial looking at it I thought it was closer to 20 degrees) Anyway, I will confirm one more time that it is indeed 30 degrees. 30 degrees is actually exactly what I would desire most for an incline pec fly. I think it is superior to a 40 degree or 50 degree pec fly which activate too much anterior deltoid.
The 70 degree nautilus is a deltoid machine, the 40-50 degree machines are in no man's land (much like that strange Hammer super incline which is basically working only the anterior delts, not the pec minor).
Tyler Hobson is going to used a fixed angle on his future pec fly, which I can guarantee will be close to 10 degrees. In any case, 30 degrees, just like the 30 degree Flex Fitness is the perfect angle for incline pec flys in my opinion. Anything greater than 30 degrees on a pec fly is going to involve too much anterior delt.
Once I demoed the Panatta 30 degree incline Flight Machine, I was thrilled and happy I could give up my search for one of those 40 or 50 degree nautilus units.
3) You may also want to consider the XP Lux Incline Flight machine with heavy stack... It feels essentially identical and offers the convenience of a selectorized stack. Both are great options, that is all I am trying to say: you can't go wrong. By the way, the stack on the Flex Fitness 30 degree was a joke, you can do the whole stack for 20 reps.
Additionally, the XP lux and plate loaded incline flight machine have a motion path that I like slightly more than the Nautilus power plus 10 degree. The power plus 10 degree is an A+ machine, and so is the Incline flight machine, A+ I will use the Nautilus 10 degree for 'flat' and the other is for 'incline', that's how I look at it. Will be great to have them side by side.
4) Yes, the Panatta multipurpose chest is actually a very cool (B/B+) machine, and it works very well if you don't mind non converging chest/incline/shoulder. However, I am not willing to trade 3 A++ machines (Panatta Shoulder, Panatta Super Horizontal Bench, Nebula 3 grip Incline bench (and Atlantis Flat/Decline bench)) for one (B/B+) machine just to save space. It was the same deal with the Pendulum Chest/Shoulder/Incline... there are too many compromises with multifunction machines. You will make tradeoffs, period. No different than the leg extension/Leg curl combo machines, they are simply not as good as separate machines. (To answer your question, no, there is not a Panatta plate loaded version of the MultiChest)
The only combo machine that I have seen work well without compromise is a combo abductor/adductor machine (The Strive being the best)
5) The Panatta, Power Plus, and Tyler Hobsons future pec fly are all fixed angle, non adjustable.
6) If you want to join the Panatta group purchase, PM me

Their weight plates look stylish too. The jugged edge grip part on them is a new design, at least to me.

I bombed Panatta with emails this past week, so I will be getting all of the details worked out this upcoming week in regards to Shipping cost per container and to various ports. Given the relatively large number of machines, the shipping cost per machine to port should be very low.
Will be getting answers on the following:
Payment options and choices
Tweaks, optimizations/customizing,
Shipping options: to port (some people will be able to pick them up at the port if they wish to have the ultimate low cost); to port + Dave Goalder for home delivery; other freight companies pricing will also be evaluated (Map Cargo, etc...)
Assembly/Disassembly, smallest dimensions, and ability to make a frame boltable if required for further disassembly (if required).
We are also evaluating to see if shipping to various ports is less expensive than other ports and looking at all of the options. No stone will be left unturned :-){}---{} Best of the Best Machines and Free Weights Crew #1 {}---{}

I was able to pick up an avenger row and was willing to do it based on watching some of his videos. It is rare I will ever buy a piece no matter what is said about it without trying it first but I felt comfortable with it after watching the videos.
It is the best row I have ever used!! ( Well almost...I tried a super modified medx row that was better but it had a couple plus grand in mods so that almost doesn't count) I love it!

For many months now, there has been a Black Hole hovering over the United States with a worm tunnel pointing towards Kauai sucking up all of the best equipment in the world... I look forward to visiting Kauai in November to see this massive equipment feast.
Big Feather gives new meaning to what people can discover in Kauai
Goalder is coming to me tomorrow AM (TK Star seated calf and Avenger Row). We have a lot to discuss, including: Panatta deal and my probable move within 2-3 months.{}---{} Best of the Best Machines and Free Weights Crew #1 {}---{}

I'm also I retested to hear your thoughts on the Nebula IDA pieces. Also curious, are you planning on getting the Avenger neck? Lastly, how do you compare the Nebula kneeling leg curl to the other brands like Flex or Cybex? Sadly I don't see the video links that everyone are talking about on my ipad, do you have a website?

We are still working on everything in regards to Panatta. Apparently they want to answer all of my questions at one time.
Question: I am going to be pushing for an incline version of the super horizontal bench. If possible, will make this an adjustable angle incline. There seems to be about 5-6 people interested in this machine if they agree to develop it.
1) If fixed angle, what would be your preference on a fixed angle (30, 35, 40, 45) 33.5, etc..
2) If variable angle, what would be your target range? eg, 30-45 degrees.{}---{} Best of the Best Machines and Free Weights Crew #1 {}---{}

Update from Edoardo:
"We have requests from all around the world for an incline version of the super horizontal bench. When I was a student, I did my test design (hypothesis) on the inclined version of the super horizontal bench. We already have a prototype of it. The ideal convergence trajectory requires a fixed backrest. Adding a neutral grip is not a problem, we'll do it."
I'll be adding this to my order, and at least 4 other people in the group purchase have expressed interest. I'm totally psyched about this "Super Incline Bench" because basically these units drastically outperform my best pieces I currently own.
For the Nebula flat bench and Nebula incline bench I am currently having Bryce at Reflex work on making me new, special 7 gauge stainless steel "pre-stretch landing pads" that have pop pin holes at 3/4" spacing instead of Tom E's original design at 1" spacing. Further, we will add another set of holes along the opposite side, staggered to the other holes, which will essentially allow you to flip the landing pad 180 degrees for another set of 3/4" spaced holes. With the staggered holes, this will allow 0.375 inch increments, essentially giving you much finer degree of control of prestretch. The take home point here is that 0.375" pop pin setting translates to significantly more than 0.375" at the grip position start point--the landing pads are much more proximal to the pivot point than the grips. Using the standard 1" setting, the grip positions were moving approximately 2" with each (1") pop pin setting. These finer increments will maximize the prestretch adjustability.
The Panatta Super Horizontal bench is far superior to the Nebula bench. The convergence on the Panatta feels perfect to me. The Nebula is also very good, but that Panatta feels perfect. In retrospect, the Nebula is *slightly* under-converged. More than just convergence, the Panatta super horizontal bench has a slightly better motion path than the Nebula. Then you had the Footbar which blows away machines that have adjustable prestretch. There is no comparison using a footbar to a machine that has simple prestretch adjustments. The Panatta machine simply disappears when you release the footbar. It feels like somebody just handed you a pair of dumbbells.
The fact they will have neutral grips is just more icing on an already perfect cake.Last edited by HealthNutMD; 09-24-2013 at 01:48 PM.

I was so busy trying to talk to him I forgot to take pictures of the Avenger Row. Look forward to trying the TK star seated calf.
I will be comparing the Nebula seated calf, Reflex/Sorinex seated Calf, and TK Star seated calf side by side at some point, but not until I move.{}---{} Best of the Best Machines and Free Weights Crew #1 {}---{}

I will try to get a picture if possible. To say I am extremely excited about this piece, is an understatement. I'm working hard on staying on top of Panatta and will have all of your questions answered shortly. Additionally, there is a potential very exciting development in regards to shipping, I will know more this week. As mentioned before, I will also have the answers shortly for dis-assembly, dimensions, and if needed, to make a boltable frame instead of a fully welded frame. Every single question will be answered in detail for every single piece.{}---{} Best of the Best Machines and Free Weights Crew #1 {}---{}

Tired, heading to sleep. Looks like this is the various costs to ship a container to a port... amazing the differences in cost:
"below, you find the indicative requested shipping rates CIF (Cost & Insurance Freight), Incoterms 2010, to the indicated ports for the offer I sent you.
Consider that these rates are variable and they could change a bit.
Norfolk
€ 4436
Baltimore
€ 5618
Charleston
€ 4436
Savannah
€ 4436
Port Everglades
€ 4680
Jacksonville
€ 6232
I remain at your disposal for any further information needed."
I will get the info on number of machines that can fit per container.{}---{} Best of the Best Machines and Free Weights Crew #1 {}---{}

"the quote below corresponds to the offer I sent you (attached) for the machines you asked me and it is for 1 x 40HC container + 1 x 20box container.
There is not a general rule for number of machines in a container because they are very different from one another."
I believe he is saying the quote above is for 2 containers of 2 diff sizes... So that is the cost for 2 containers.{}---{} Best of the Best Machines and Free Weights Crew #1 {}---{}

so basically 26 machines can be shipped to the port of Charleston for 4,436 Euros. Also, there is still room on those 2 containers.
So lets say 30 machines can fit between the 2 containers: That is roughly 4436/30 =
148 Euros shipping per machine... i.e, with the dropping dollar about $200.00 shipping per machine to the port... Please use this as the best current estimate.

CIF is the method used:
