I've become overly frustrated lately with some personal and business issues.... so I pulled the plug on a new method of anger management... not sure if it's the best of the best, but it sure looks interesting. Ringside Heritage Heavy bag and double ended bag. I'm sure I could have saved $$ on cheaper bags, but I like the look of the leather.

It wouldn't do decline but you have flat - incline - 90* angles and you could swap between the two posts changing from barbell to dumbbell on the same unit.

That is a great idea. I'll have to think about it over the next week. I liked that multi Angle autospot bench but people told be it was redundant given that I had 2-3 power racks. Nonetheless, I like those open designs. Nice spotter stand on the back also.

Very good idea I think... I'm gonna put that on my list to think about.

Talked to Dave Goalder this morning. He's going to stop By Power-Lift in Iowa sometime before coming to CA, so that is another shipment I don't have to worry about.

Dave Goalder has a lot going on all over the place, so he won't be out here until 2 or 3rd week of Feb it seems. Now I just have to wait for Atlantis to arrive next week sometime.

Here is the pic of the Donkey calf and spotter stands conmbined for shipping:

Yea, I think I was one of the people that said it was too redundant. The more I think about it though I'm thinking maybe the ideal solution would be a benching station and a power rack for squats and leg work. It would be nice if they could incorporate some removable safeties on a bench station though so you could use it safely when working alone or remove the safeties and have the freedom of an open area.

Something like this with the 1" increments plus that multi-angle breaker bench from Sorinex I think would make a mighty fine benching station.

Actually, I proudly get to say I was the first consumer to try that machine. Yosi was giving me the tour of the factory, and they had it sitting there. They said go ahead and try it... we are taking it over to the Atlantis Gym as a prototype to get feedback. This was in October when I visited.

I got on it and put on the whole stack... I did not think it had enough weight. Not sure if they made any changes since I tried the prototype. I was not impressed. It looked very cool, but in the end, I did not see any use for it... was not a fan.

Can not agree more. totally agree. If your gonna have 2-3 power racks, why not just have one power rack, and a couple other dedicated stations for chest and shoulder

What you describe would be damn amazing... Damn, I'm gonna have to get with Bryce on your ideas...

This trainer has got it all wrong. I was told that those elbow pads are only there to protect your elbows so if your hands slip off the handles/grips they don't slam backwards and hit something metal. Bottom line, the proper position would be having the hands higher on the grip and having the elbows lying freely off the pads. That's what makes it a killer exercise.

Here is a video on the Tricep extension:

Dude, not trying to be a dick but is English your primary language? I agree with Chris, something like a functional trainer/cable crossover would be a much better choice than that piece.

Yes, we can doubt if is better one machine over another, if we do this than bench press with 200kg is better than functional trainer and all other machines... but this Atlantis machine is something new exiting on merket. Which is better depend what we do, plan or compare. p.s. I am form Europe

Harris, when I used this machine, I was grabbing the handles higher as well. My elbows also came off of the pads. I am anxious to use it again to try different starting setups to see if I could grip the handles lower and keep my elbows on the pads longer. Maybe move the seat lower and get the elbows further back. This is definately a cool machine that I would be interested in purchasing one day. Thank you for being the one to introduce it to this thread. Sorry that your deal went sour.

You do have a very good point. I really shouldn't judge that machine just by the video demo. I learned over time the only way to know for sure whether or not a piece is a keeper is to demo it for yourself. BTW, I happen to be a fan of most of Atlantis' equip. I have a few of their pieces in my home gym.

Maybe move the seat lower and get the elbows further back. This is definately a cool machine that I would be interested in purchasing one day. Thank you for being the one to introduce it to this thread. Sorry that your deal went sour.
Thanks Greg, I really should have that badboy in my home gym right now. I definately will someday.

If I can make any suggestion to those who are interested in crossborder purchases it would be to check out uship.com. I've had several pieces of equipment shipped from all over the US to my hometown in northern Alberta, and the pricing has been very good, much better than domestic carriers I have had quotes from. Case in point, 2 pallets with 3000lbs of Iron Grip solid steel dumbbells. Cost to ship fron Conover NC to northern Alberta $1150.00 plus customs brokerage (shouldn't be more than about $150.00 www.borderbee.com). If your getting a good deal on used equipment, I've found this to be the most economical way of shipping. The dumbbells left today, I've been told that I should see them before the 11th of this month. Can't wait!

Nice pickup with the Iron Grip dumbbells. I'm guessing you went through All Fitness Solutions to get the dumbbells or 26 Fitness which is just a few miles down the road.

Irongym, ha ha, I go over there to Allfit every couple of months. Chris Stubbs is my go-to contact. They have two warehouses (probably 120,000 sq. ft.) of gear at their Conover location. Last time over the warehouse was packed with equipment with very little walking room. They were unloading a truck with Iron Grip weights. I tried to buy some IGX rubber grip plates but they were sold before they even hit the floor. I ended up with some virtually new Umax urethane grip plates from CSM in Atlanta (funny how deals work out for me)......Allfit is about 8 miles from 26-Fitness in Hickory. Another 60,000 sq. ft. warehouse. I get to demo alot of equipment from those three dealers.

Small world guys. They did come out of the Allfitness warehouse. I purchased them from Tony Spoto at thebenchpress.com. Very happy with the service from them. I'm jealous though, you guys get to see all these incredible deals, I can only dream about from up here. We have one major used equipment dealer in Edmonton (2.5 hour drive from me), and the really good stuff is gone within moments. But, I can't complain, I've been pretty lucky and really happy with my purchases lately. Just finished up an incredible leg workout on the Nebula leg press and hack squat... I'll never regret getting these two pieces!

    Deadwood,

I am in Charlotte, so 26 Fitness and Allfit are just about an hour or a little better up the road. I drop in every so often to see what they have. I picked up a Cybex Squat Press and 45% back extension from 26 for $650 and $250 respectively. Dave Stansel is my go to at 26 Fitness. I plan on going up that way in the not to distant future. Sometimes you spot a piece of equipment that you would like to have but it is part of a circuit. That is a bit of a bummer.

Nebula is good stuff. Although I typically do more free weight training, the Nebula Leg Press along with the Cybex Squat Press are two of my favorite plate loaded machines.

Sometimes, I will head over to Muscle Driver in Fort Mill SC. They keep some used stuff on hand that goes for fair bit off the regular price. Picked up a couple of slam balls, rage ball and a weight tree that way. The UCS manufacturing facility is in Lincolnton, NC which, is not far from Gastonia. Very well made and very expensive. Their elite plyo box set MSRPs for $2,500 and their GHD is around $3,500. Top notch stuff, but I don't know if it is worth that amount.

I think it is... It is what started this whole project for me. $3600.00

    http://www.ucsspirit.com//strength-s...uteham-Machine

The good part was that they modified it extensively for me with a custom 36" wide footplate and 18" roller pads for only an additional $200.00. That was an unexpectedly low custom charge. In any case, it is so far beyond any other GHD and even has the multi-angle rotating pad which is a huge feature--really great for abs, GHD, hypers, reverse hypers, and all kinds of twists/bar fighters, etc... I have never seen a GHD that accomidates 4" 0" to 7' 6" tall people as well as this GHD.

If you like the Cybex Plate loaded leg press, you'd fall in love with the Atlantis Pivot Press (like I have). Although people who my not particularly like the Cybex plate loaded leg press, I think would still love the Atlantis Pivot Press.

My go-to guy at 26-Fitness was Gene Farmer but he either quit or was fired. He was giving me some good pricing too. I was learning what used pieces should go for as well. Now I have to start over building a relationship with Dave. They usually have more strength equipment and better pricing than Allfit. The owner is a go-getter at buying out gyms.

Sounds like great resources. I guess you can have them look out for certain pieces for you, and have them let you know if they find what you are looking for....

I suppose in LA, the equivalent of the places you describe would be "used gym equipment.com" and "Global Fitness" I have not seen any of those kinds of place in the SF Bay area. I.e., would be a 6 hour drive to visit them. But if they were only 1-2 hours, yes that would be cool to stop by every couple months or so...

I won a Magnum Biangular PL Shoulder Press and a PL Incline Chest Press this week off of GovDeals. They aren't "best of the best" pieces but they are fused presses, in traditional body positioning, to compliment my Legend Leveredge ISO pieces. I will pick those up next week and I have another interesting "cost no object" piece that I will probably get in the next two weeks. I will say what it is once I have it in my posession....I also sold the Pendulum Neck.
