that's great to hear. I will check it out. And I may even go in and contact John for a similar bench. I will reference your "unique" tweak. Love it. As far as the bench above, if anyone can identify who makes it that would sure quench my curiosity - or if anyone lifts at the armbrust pro gym out west let us know...

I just ran across these sites. Some cool equipment that has already been discussed here. I may go try to demo some of it soon. It is interesting because I have a few of the Notre Dame plates and the same Pendulum Hip Press.

Now I just sit back and hope they decide to sell some of it soon.

Cool a David Bicep. I think that I demoed one of these that was in fairly bad condition at the Dynabody used equipment facility in Maryville, Tn. back in the summer. It was wedged against some other equipment and I couldnt get a proper feel for it. I believe that he had a pec dec, bicep, and pullover. Some of the designs look interesting but they are fairly rare here in the states and most that I have seen are in poor condition.... That thing really looks like it could be a winner. I would like to find a bicep machine of that style that I liked. The Flex Bi-solater? is kinda like that.

Amen! I'm loving that UCS GHD... especially with the custom foot plate and footbars. But even the standard version I'd take over any other...
Now I'm just curious to get that inverse leg curl here and that Power Lift variable angle roman chair... betowen those two new pieces, that might diminish the role of the GHD a little bit. That being said it is still a bad ass piece and I would not part with it.{}---{} Best of the Best Machines and Free Weights Crew #1 {}---{}

If I were to buy another MID-ROW... it would be the Pendulum. Tiny footprint I slighly prefer the Hammer Mid row with the Chest Pad mod, but the Pendulum is also very good. The footprint is so small, I might just pick it up for ****s and giggles the next time I order a pendulum piece. The Pendulum Gripper, Pec fly (future piece), and Pendulum pullover (future piece) are on my wish list. I suppose when I get that, I'll grab a pendulum mid row.{}---{} Best of the Best Machines and Free Weights Crew #1 {}---{}

Looks like he beefed it up a bit with some thicker tubing , extra pads and weight storage. I am not a fan of most Ab machines and prefer To stick with leg raises and cable work but the Ab Cor was very comfortable gave a good stretch . It is very smooth had a nice feel and a direct hit to the abdominals . I am not a fan of the hammer abdominal your paying for the name. Hammer pieces are maintenance free and have good resale value. In my opinion and I am sure many will disagree ..the only hammer pieces I think are worth getting or using is the
Reverse grip pulldown
Decline chest
Wide chest
Seated dip
Bicep curl
Horizontal calf

Hit my second workout on that proto type avenger row tonight. The handels are awesome you can turn them with ease into a reverse grip , neutral grip or any way that feels right. This workout I placed it after pendulum pulldowns , partial deads and barbell rows. This time kept it fused and rowed the Handels lower towards my hips. What a great feel on this machine It hits deep in the lats or upper back depending in where you drive your elbows . It does not have the in depth linkage system like the other row and many of the other extremely well made avenger pieces. Its a real simple design that does the job right. I spoke with stength coach John Thomas he also liked these handles . He tolled me that was the second run of that protype row medx took the first two back he gave them feedback they made some adjustments to it and this is what they came up with. I took a chance on this piece and very happy I bought it. Their is one of these rows left in that avenger lot give it a good clean up and some new pads and you will not regret it.
Its too bad that the avenger line did not last longer. Thankfully medx made them so well so if your lucky enough to find a piece used you know it will function well. I am looking forward to see the new regeneration made avengers.Last edited by TLYNCH777; 12-22-2012 at 05:44 PM.

I found this yesterday. It is shaped like the lumbar benches above but it is probably a few decades older. The owner seems to feel the piece has appreciated in value. He also may have meant "Lurie".
Dan Laurie Round Bench - $200 (long island/New York)
I have an original Dan Laurie Round bench/Half moon bench for sale .This bench was used to expand your rib cage to give you a HUGE THICK CHEST stops the cheating in pull overs.I am asking 200.00 because it's worth the price and you simply can't find one anywhere also would cost more to have one made.

Shout out to Deadwood Gregg for locating these in Pittsburgh. I picked up (2) today for $500.00 total. He had six and they are all sold.
He had some Legend GHD's and power Lift Benches, but nothing I could use or want.
Finally got the Mag Row attachment. Thought I would start with this neutral grip medium width:

Looks like Mississippi State is one of the better Pendulum outfitted schools in the country. Pendulum rows, power grip pros, 5-way necks, and shoulder inclines. Pendulum seated squat pros, hip presses, vertical chest presses, and pulldowns.

I can't say enough about the Pendulum Power Squat Pro. I cannot believe that these are not common in commercial gyms across the country. Although the weight is still on your back, this is a really safe way to squat. There is no feeling of being constrained in this machine whatsoever. An A++ machine IMO. The Power Squat Pro and the Avenger leg press are the two best machines that I have ever used to date.... And it looks wicked in black!

Any idea what the starting weight is on this, or their older unit? I have the older version and I am trying to determine what the weight is of the movement before adding plates.
Also, on the older unit you can use it for shrugs and I am thinking of modifying it with handles as it would also work great for Viking presses.

I agree Gregg ... Unfortunately 90% of gym owners today can Care less how good a piece of equipment is. Most just care about is how much it's going to cost them and what discount they are going to get . The sad thing is many gym owners today don't even work out it's all about the dollar there is no passion and love for training. It's rare to go to a gym with great equipment but there are some out there still alive and its allways great to find them and when you do your guaranteed a great workout .
I you like both of those pieces you will love the seated squat pro it's worth every penny there is so much you can do with it.
I would say the starting weight on the original power squat is about 40-50 lbs deffinetly heavier then the Rogers versionFaith is Like a Muscle... It Must be Trained to Grow Strong.
