if you treat all kids the same, and do not take into account their culture/race, you are a colourblind racist, as kids of different race/culture will learn or handle situations differently, so you should act in a way that respects that, and also, more obviously, because having american flags in the classroom, whilst no cultural symbols from other places may make immigrants feel unappreciated,. This goes on to criticising the current education system for not being taught in a multicultural way (though they dont really explain fixes for this, or at least not yet, I havent finished reading it)
