    i only ever take a protein shake after my workouts. imo thats the only time you should take it. never ever substitute quality food for a shake. food is always better.

    and before ignorant phucks say what about caseine protein, you can get caseine protein from cottage cheese.

    While I agree about not subbing powder for food... I do think the morning is an exception to the not needing it any other time.

    You should get some protein in your system right upon waking and a whey protein shake digests pretty fast.
