"2-(nitrooxy)ethyl 2-amino-3-methylbutanoate.
This is still just precursor to the production of nitric oxide in the body, the amino group provides a source of nitrogen. The numbers refer to where the bonds are in the hydrocarbon as different placements can dramatically effect the chemicals properties.
This is about as legit as I can get you without busting out some textbooks.
Basically: Marketing bull****."
-that isnt my opinion, i found it somewhere else...keep it simple, keep it basic, keep it heavy

I tried eNoxide for 3 workouts. It worked at speeding up recovery between sets, but not really any type of energy surges like most caffeine based NO powders out today. I had to stop taking it though as it messed my stomach up too much after I took my post workout shake.
I don't take any NO supplements now...don't really feel a need for them If I take creatine with plenty of water.Current Stak:

this product is essentially an organic nitrate (ethylene glycol mononitrate). or more specifically an organic nitrate "pro drug" (as it is esterified to leucine). Organic nitrates include things such as nitroglycerin, isosorbide mononitrate, and sodium nitroprusside. These are drugs used to treat angina attacks essentially. They cause NON-SPECIFIC and SYSTEMIC vasodilation. In other words they just don't cause the blood vessels in your muscles to relax, it causes every blood vessel in your body to relax including brain, heart and you name it. The result is (if you actually ingest an amount that does anything) is a racing heartbeat, a headache, pooping, and several other not so pleasant things .
I am not being a "hater" or a "basher". I just thing y'all should know what this stuff is. Believe me, i tried one of my dads nitroglycerin sublinguals years ago in a moment of stupid curiousity. I ain't gonna do it againLast edited by Patrick Arnold; 06-09-2009 at 09:42 AM.

an organic nitrate such as what this product seems to be might have benefit if it can be delivered directly and selectively to skeletal muscle. Some research (check out the research of JE Anderson) has suggested this possibility. However oral delivery would give a systemic effect and I think that has more downside potential then upside

OK. I have a question... so this IS a nitrate then?? So pills like Levitra are out then?? Here is some info I got off of PubMed Health about mixing Levitra and nitrates:
"do not take vardenafil if you are taking or have recently taken nitrates such as isosorbide dinitrate (Isordil), isosorbide mononitrate (Imdur, ISMO), and nitroglycerin (Nitro-BID, Nitro-Dur, Nitroquick, Nitrostat, others). Nitrates come as tablets, sublingual (under the tongue) tablets, sprays, patches, pastes, and ointments. Ask your doctor if you are not sure if any of your medications contain nitrates."
So I should NOT take Levitra if I'm using this supplement then?? Don't want to die or anything! :-(
Thanks for the help! Much appreciated!
