    Talking My Butt is To Big. But Its Not Fat

    Hi all, growing up I had a normal figure. It wasnt until about 6th grade that my thighs and butt started getting bigger. I did play soccer and basketball which probably added to the issue. In highschool my best lift was squat. My max was 370lbs which is pretty good by my standards. So now fast forward to college (20 yrs old) and I still have the same issue. I dont consider myself fat. I am just a thick guy. Always really have been. Ive been wearing a 38 waist for a couple years now.

    But it sucks cause the only reason im a 38 waist is cause the pants/shorts have to get over my thighs and butt. Its not my waist that is big. My waist is probably more of a 34-36.

    Basically, my question is, is there anyway at all to get my thighs and butt smaller? Cause they are both just solid muscle. Will they get smaller with weight loss? Cause I am trying to loose about 30lbs or so at the moment. Want to look good for a cruise in a year from now. Thanks guys!

    Where your body decides to shed weight is based on genetics but if you lose that much you'll probably lose some there too. But hey, girls like big butts if they're strong...

    There is very small amount of fat on my legs and butt though. I wouldnt think losing weight would make me lose muscle in my legs and butt would it?

    When you lose weight you'll lose muscle and fat. If you're eating right and working out you'll lose mostly fat, but you'll still lose at least some muscle, can't be helped. Also it can be hard to judge just by looking at yourself how much is muscle or fat.

    Ok. Im doing intermintent fasting right now. Hopefully I can get into a smaller waist. Is there a good weight loss program on here do you know?

    then dont train lower body during cut. give it 3-4 months they will shrink. i dont believe in disturbingly big and lean body parts as a natural lifter. most likely its just in your head

    Highlighted for emphasis OP. Likely you are carrying more body fat than you think on your lower half, in which case train your legs and eat in a caloric deficit to lose body fat.
