The time has come.
I dont even smoke marijuana but the benefits of this are so overwhelming to any opposition.
The people who wrote the "argument in favor of prop 19" are 2 retired police chiefs (san jose and LA) and a retired OC superior court judge,
from prop19 on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Califor...ition_19_(2010)
According to the State of California analysis, the bill will have the following effects.[6]
[edit]Legalization of personal marijuana-related activities
Persons age 21 and older:
May possess up to 1 ounce (28 g) of marijuana for personal consumption.
May use marijuana in a non-public place such as a residence or a public establishment licensed for on site marijuana consumption.
May grow marijuana at a private residence in a space of up to 25 square feet (2.3 m2) for personal use.

same thing with alcohol and prohibition...make it illegal it drives everyone underground, make it legal, flood the market with option and say goodbye to crime
also think of all the crime in mexico/south america trying to get pot into the US...now if we can legally grow it or buy it...their demand dries up...less crime there tooS&P OG.....

edit: I guess the 1 ounce thing would override that though

I'm voting for it, I don't smoke but used to. It will be crazy if it passes. Cali needs it to pass though, it will bring in much needed revenue.
Edit- Here is an estimation that is mind blowing. An ounce right now of good **** costs about $300. If this law passes it will cost about $35.....LOL. BRB filling my bathtub up with weed and bathing in it.Last edited by dopamine72; 09-22-2010 at 02:52 PM.

in mass if you possess a gram i think or less...it is a 100 fine....which was a big thing in the paper, because cops would write the ticket and no one paid in the first year....like the number was super low....
in short if you get caught with a small amount of weed cops in my state usually wont do anything except confiscate....ive had friends get caught with it over the past year...nothing came of it...
