    Good pre workout for mma

    Been using the 5 hour energy in the black bottle as of recently but it gets expensive. No explode has made me sick before any type of cardio session. Any recommendations for something pre workout for mma. I'm lifting 2 to 3 days a week right now too. Have some samples of white flood coming which I'm excited to try. Can it work for both

    I'd think anything with 1,3 dime would be better for mma mainly cause it helps with create adrenaline. Although it might be too much and make you jittery and anxious, personally I think a intrain drink would probably help more with mma training than anything.

    something like presurge unleashed would help BUT make sure you take a smaller dose than you would for lifting. if i take too much of a preworkout before training/fighting it seems like i get tired faster (or at least outta breath faster), and am too jittery.

    Assault is perfect for MMA athletes. It works great for stamina and lactic acid buffer which will allow you to train longer, and will give you great energy and increase strength levels.

    In addition it's safe for athletes and will not make you fail drug test like other pre that contain 1-3.

    I like the 5 hr energy because they sit well in the stomach unlike an energy drink or anything like that. Jack3d actually made me tired. No xplode gave me good energy for a workout when lifting. Made me sick as a dog with cardio type work

    I liked the 5 hour energy extra strength pre-wo....the niacin flush was an interesting thing during my workout. Liked the thermogenic effects though..

    Geranium sucks for anaerobic threshold workouts. It'll absolutely kill your cardio. All of the following have been great for my grappling:

    I found BPI 1MR worked really well for MMA and Muay Thai. I don't agree with 1,3 killing your cardio. It didn't mine.

    Everyone is different. Many people complain about that effect. If you're not nudging your VO2 max during a workout, you'llbe fine. If you are, it may piss you off.

    Muscle Marinade.

    Only Pre-workout I've liked using for cardio. The pump are great during lifting but I don't get the pumps I've gotten during cardio with other pres that made it x10 worse.

    Anything containing Beta Alanine, such as the suggested White Flood or ASGT. For MMA purposes, a good stim won't be beneficial enough (and too much stim causes vasoconstriction, thus, decreased blood flow [decreased O2, decreased nutrients, decreased flushing of toxins build up from working muscles] anyway) but Beta Alanine, as contained in WF and ASGT have the potential to increase your lactate threshold, which put simply and skipping undue details, will allow you to exert maximal force for a longer period of time. BA increases carnosine, carnosine buffers H+, H+ is the byproduct of adenosintriphosphate, which is the molecule your muscles break down to exert force. The build up of H+ (positive hydrogen ion) creates a choke of O2 in the muscle, and thus, is a premier factor of the numbing, inability to contract.

    When you roll, you're going through bouts of total body muscle endurance and bursts of force, usually from the hips. The BA can help you with the muscle endurance and general stamina. I'd go with White Flood or ASGT, they'd both suffice. ASGT is having a buy two get one free sale at the moment, but White Flood is less costly in general and I personally think it tastes pretty good.

    I like creatine for assisting in striking, TD/TDD's and sweeps. The added ATP keeps your force production high (though power would come primarily from plyo's & O-lifts training and not so much supps).
