    sleeping right after eating

    i am on a 1400 cal diet

    eat about 230 cals every meal
    if i eat my meal and sleep right after it for an hour and a half will it make me fat???
    is it bad or should i sleep after i eat since i go the gym in the evening i want to rest a bit to be fresh for my workouts

    It does make a difference, actually. Although how much of a difference is debatable. It certainly won't make or break your fat loss, but it might influence it marginally.

    Your resting metabolism slows down when you sleep. This means that the carbs you ingest before bed won't be handled as efficiently as they would be during the day.

    If you're into nutrition timing your going to want to have have a protein/carb heavy breakfast (with fats as well, just not as much as normal) and a protein/fat (EFAs, ideally) heavy pre-bed meal. Slow digesting proteins and fats are ideal before bed. Quickly digested foods are ideal in the morning (as well as before and after a workout).

    Nutrition general rules are rather different from weight loss / weight gain rules. Nutrition guides are created for the average person trying to become healthy but not lose or gain serious weight.
