    eating hard boiled eggs but not the yolk

    I hate the yolks I find them disgusting, how much protein am I missing out on if I don't eat them?

    Well you're missing out on the healthiest most nutrient dense part of the egg and as far as I know a good chunk of the protein.

    salt does the trick, or hot sauce if they werent hardboiled.

    You are pretty much missing out on half the protein of the egg and all the good fats, but its whatever if you can find other ways to fulfill that. you dont have to eat things you hate.

    There are other foods that are good besides eggs but I personally eat my hardboiled eggs with seasoning salt or hot sauce.

    Have you tried eating them scrambled ?

    Or - seperate the yolk from the white, cook the whites & throw the yolks into a protein shake.

    Uncooked egg protein doesn't really absorb well, that and salmonella is a concern with eggs.

    uncooked yolks are fine... salmonella also comes from the shell, not the interior

    I either eat them whole with salt or hot sauce. You know what you could do though... you could take the yolks and mix it up with some mayo or something and put it in with tuna salad. It'll add creaminess and the meat (plus anything else you add) will overpower the yolk flavor.

    You don't have to eat the yolks, it is completely up to you. You are ALLOWED to get fats/nutrients from other sources too.

    It is completely a personal preference. I don't eat the whole eggs, I rather use those calories elsewhere

    Roughly half.

    If you don't like the yolk though, don't eat it. Get more protein into that meal however by simply eating more egg whites then to make up for it, and increase your fat intake by using other sources. A lot of bodybuilders don't focus too much on yolks for our fat intake anyway, so use other things (for example avocado, flexseed oil, olive oil, almonds). Don't feel as if you have to eat the yolk or anything.

    24-36 from the carton. Or 4-6 cups worth if i use the liquid egg whites from the packs.
