    zinc oxide confusion

I was talking with a friend of mine and he told me that zinc oxide is basically worthless, saying its passed right through the body with hardly any absorption. Is this true/correct? I can't find anything on this. Any links for info or replies will be appreciated, thx

Zinc oxide is a poor form in terms of bioavailability and perhaps more prone to antagonistic reactions to other nutrients. Something like this would be a better choice and it also provides copper which is important with the consumption of zinc.
