    Greek Yogurt vs. Cottage Cheese

    Does anyone out there have an opinion as to which is better for lowering body fat and for overall building muscle, plain greek yougert or cottage cheese?

    Do you understand HOW to lose BF, or build muscle? IE: Calorie deficit/surplus

    Because then it'd just be a decision of which you like to eat more.

    In terms of cutting or losing BF as you put it both are essentially equal macro-wise....meaning eat how much of whatever you want to hit your macros..if youre bulking do the same its not hard. IMO do both...greek yogurt is great with honey and granola and cottage cheese will always be heaven when mixed with whey and natural peanut butter...be creative and mix it up...just stick to your macros and its all good...

    Neither one is growing to build you muscle quicker then the other. It's all about your overall caloric intake and macro intake like others have states.

    Eat under maintenance you lose weight

    Eat over maintenance you gain weight/mass

    They're both pretty close with regards to macros, but I usually find greek yogurt to be more expensive (and taste a little better). Either will do fine.

    for lowering bodyfat i would have to go with lowfat cottage cheese. reason being it has less lactose= dairy sugar.
