Unfortunately, the refs made the correct call. The problem is a bad rule in place for endzone catches.
If CJ would have waited a second or two to release, it would have been a TD. But he "spiked" it the moment the ball touched the ground as he was falling. Incomplete is the correct call, but it's a sh*tty rule.1

The "call" (remember I don't agree with) is that CJ never had possession of the ball because he dropped it. It's like when a receiver catches a ball while falling out of bounds, but he juggles it. Or more appropriately, when a receiver catches the ball while falling down, but the ground knocks it out.
The "call" was correct according to the rules of the game, but it's a horrendous rule.1

If they're saying that he didn't "complete the process" on that TD catch(which is bull****)... he caught the ball, got two feet down, his ass hit the ground, his knee hit the ground, then the ball came out as he was trying to get up....
How is it then, that a RB that dives for the pylon can drop the ball when he crosses, but as long as he had possesion when the ball crosses, it's a TD? And what about the plays where the RB jumps over the pile for a TD but loses the ball before he hits the ground.. they still call that a TD as well..
What am I missing here, what is the difference?
