I'm gonna start taking creatine monohydrate in about 2 weeks. I'm looking at either MuscleTech Creatine 6000-ES or Cheap Supplements Creatine Monohydrate. I understand theirs a loading period for 4-5 days where i take a total of 20-25 grams. After those 5 days, how many grams should i take daily after that? and when? i weigh about 155 pounds at 6-8% bodyfat and im very defined and muscular for my size (5'9). I wanna get to atleast 175 pounds so i thought monohydrate would help.
Also, which creatine should i buy? MuscleTech's creatine or Cheap Supplements creatine? They both got very high reviews thats why i ask.

Not tryin to be mean if you would of seared for five minutes about this you would of found your answer in one of the million threads already made in the past 3 days. Loading phases are unnecessary and useless. Take 5grams a day, most do so in their post workout shake. There are other creatine supplements that are designed to be pre and intra, but if you just buy bulk mono post is fine.

I thought it was around 1g per 40-50 pounds of body weight..I can't remember what it is, but most likely 4g a day would be fine.

Put 5g in your mouth per day and swallow. Ideally take it with carbs.

First off, its proven you do not need a LOADING PHASE. You get the same results by just taking a maintenance dosage of 3-5 grams per day of creatine. Thus, your creatine lasts longer, and you will get the same results !
Secondly, well, like i said above dont worry about the loading phase, just start off with 5 grams of creatine a day either before, during, or after your workout.. it really does not matter. I personally like i AFTER my workout. But then again i take PURPLE-K, so it is before and after !
I recommend any creatine really. But i stand by only one creatine.. PURPLE-K.

Right now im taking Sci-Fit Kre-Alkalyn creatine. I take 6grams a day, 3grams pre-workout and then 3grams post-workout. Ive been taking it for about a month now. Ive seen a difference but not a major difference. Ive read that Kre-Alkalyn was actually debunked (which i read on the bodybuilding.com forum) so im thinking of going to monohydrate. Do you guys think i should go to monohydrate?

KA works just like mono.... it's just not worth the additional cash, unless you find yourself getting GI distress from mono [in which case you could just add some Rolaids & problem solved/cash saved]. In response to the absurd amounts of creatine you've been ingesting [on a daily basis], you are merely pissing money into the toilet. I don't care what any rep tells you, once your intramuscular PCr concentrations are saturated, they will remain at near maximal capacity for extended durations of time [this includes the days off]. 3-grams a day is [more] than sufficient.
Creatine kinase is the enzymatic catalyst responsible for swapping phosphate groups between PCr and ATP. During exercise, ATP is rapidly resynthesised from ADP via the donation of a phosphate group from PCr [so just take your creatine prior to workouts]. ATP regeneration predominantly occurs during strenuous exercise, whereas PCr regeneration predominantly occurs during rest. These are rather moot points when considering the fact that physical exercise itself and/or excessive creatine intake, will not raise the maximal intracellular creatine concentration of 150-160 mmol/kg dm (Clark 1997/Greenhaff 1995/ Harris et al. 1992).~

Creatine advice
need advice: I recently bought this muscletech creatine (pills) called creakic, and i noticed the back says to take 6 pills per day (3 pills per serving, 2 servings/day). Now I've never taken creatine before, and this stuff was expensive as fuuuuark, so I was thinking if I take 2 pills/day, will I still see some gains? I'm only on whey right now, and there's 180 pills in this. I was thinking I could make this last for 3 months in that case. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks fellas.
