Currently at about 160...my goal is 180. but i'd like to stay cut at 180 (keep my 6 pack)....so i recently bought a weight gainer - the nutrition facts stat 900 calories per serving and 300 calories from fat. i realize that is a lot of calories from fat. first of all, is that unhealthy? is it the same as eating a high cholesterol diet? secondly, is that going to make me actually flabby? like i said i want to gain size but stay kind of lean and definitley keep my abs.
ps my diet other wise is very clean, chicken, tuna, oats, brown rice, sardine's...nothing unhealthy...
thanks

Calories from fat question

I'm sure someone with a better understanding than I will chip in.
But, here's what I understand...
High fat is not necessarily unhealthy. It depends on what fats you're consuming. Personally, I would avoid it if most of that fat is saturated fat, otherwise, I don't really pay too much attention.
High fat and high (dietary) cholesterol is not the same thing. I have read some studies that seems to indicate that high saturated fat may lead to higher blood cholesterol, but dietary cholesterol seems to have a lower impact.
As I understand it, consuming fat does not make a person fat per se...

As long as its not like 20g of saturated fat of the 35 then that's perfectly fine lol. The gainer shakes I make for myself have 30g of fat from almond butter and milk fat. Not to mention the whey and other ingredients I put in there.
edit: just read saturated fat 30g...I'd ditch that ****...what product is it?*19ft master race crew*

F that! 35g of fat is bad enough, but 30g of sat fat is BS..
There are plenty of low sugar or no sugar proteins. You can use the protein finder with a bunch of options to find one..

For real just use a whey, milk (whichever you want 2% 1% skim, whole, buttermilk (lol just kidding). Add in blended oats, fruit, almond or peanut butter. It's win, and tons of calories...not to mention tastes better and costs less XD
