right, and wrong. much of the taxes would come from businesses. a small tax hike is a huge hit to a lot of small businesses. see where i'm going with this?


edit: we're already in a huge deficit. so we create more money? brilliant idea. i like the idea of the dollar decreasing in value

To fight inflation a government has to cut back on spending and cut programs. The problem with doing this is what politician in their right mind is going to run on a platform of "If elected I will eliminate government sponsored programs for the citizens of this country, programs for farmers, manufacturing, and I will eliminate government jobs." Yeah we wouldn't elect that guy either and that's why we're seeing the problem get so bad lately.

Whats our deficit now... 1.5 trillion?

50 billion is not a make or breaker right now. Its huge, but not huge if you get what I mean. What if this plan were successful, we spent 50 billion now and in 5 years it lowered the deficit by 100 billion or more?

I havent heard what the plan is yet, just explaining (although im sure you already knew)
