When doing an exercise like curling, the muscles involved will require more resources. To meet this need, more blood is pumped into the muscles. In order to pump more blood, your veins dilate (get bigger) and this allows more blood to get in the area. It's perfectly natural, and is supposed to happen.
It basically means you are putting a stress on your body that requires your muscles to get more nutrients. This does not always mean you are going to making gains. Take a 5lb dumbbell, and curl is 50 times, and you will get this pump. A pump will not equal strength gains. They can be correlated, but not causation related.

im not trying to bash you but i think you meant your cells in your muscles are trying to get rid of waste products which are carried in your veins and the good stuff is carried in your arteries. So with this im not sure but i think your body is trying to release carbon dioxide and other waste products to get o2 into your muscles and cells. so your veins xplode to try and get more waste out your cells to make room for more of the good stuff...but you were on the right track, please correct me if i'm am wrong and also you might have low bf around your arms so they could pop out because of that as well maybe?
