How bad are Boiled Peanuts for you???

How bad are Boiled Peanuts for your everyday intake? I know they can't be good everyday for your eating plan.... but I guess I am wondering how I can limit my intake of them but still enjoy them at baseball games(as a spectator... no beer included) I blame my friend for introducing them... but we were popping them like they were sunflower seeds. I just read a little while ago on how they are made and salt salt salt is all I saw in the recipe. but when boiled they taste amazing and have the texture of a bean. So, peanuts seem to be the new hurdle for me... or I guess I'll just avoid weekly baseball games and the vendor at the farmer's market that I get fresh veggies from sometimes. Any advice on how much is too much for the peanut addicts... especially boiled peanuts would be greatly appreciated...

Ummm there is nothing wrong with peanuts.

I don't think anyone would actually try to argue that peanuts are "bad" for you.

Peanuts are a great inclusion in any diet on a daily basis
    I protest this fraud

I guess I was made eerie of them cause of the recipes I saw saying excess amounts of salt in the boiling process alone. One was a 2-1 salt to Peanut ratio... and that put me in the ??? anxiety. So basically don't over indulge like I have done the past 2 times I went to the game.

I feel a bit better about that now.

    Thanx for the insight.

Yea but you are not actually consuming all the salt. The majority is drained away when they strain the water out.

That was my main concern was "Are the peanuts absorbing the majority of the salt". I'm personally not afflicted with Hi Blood Pressure but it is common in my family on both sides.

Why do they have to be boiled? Why not buy raw or roasted unsalted peanuts?

I was under the impression raw peanuts were not good for you to eat. Some internet searching seems to be proving otherwise, interesting.

They don't have to be boiled... it's the way I was introduced to them at a local baseball game. I eat peanuts many ways but this one just was very addictive while watching baseball, and my negligence on the amount I was consuming.
