Whats up.. i'm 16 and I have lost a good amount weight once in proper nutrition.. then gained it back during the holidays and my stretchmarks where there but very minimal, then i lost weight again and gained it back... (my diets only seem to last me one month) now almost a year later I have stretchmarks EVERYWERE on my body.. on the side of my belly (right side) it IS TREMENDOUS and a little less on left side of belly.. my biceps are starting to get them and im not even muscular.. there on my shoulders, side of chest, my back, everywere.. they are very very discouraging and disgusting as Id only expect someone pregnant to look like I do..
Something a little like this http://media.photobucket.com/image/s...ie/Belly-1.jpg
and
http://www.mayoclinic.com/images/ima...etchmarks2.jpg
AND MY STRETCHMARKS ARE VERY VERY RED and bumpy and dark..
I really don't know how to go about this.. if I lose weight will it help? If the fat falls off, where will the stretchmarks go? I know they only "FADE" but I need some encouragement.. If anyone has stories where they were like me with tons of stretchmarks and now theyre ripped w/o those would help..
Aaaah thats just my rant.. I'd appreciate comments brothers and sisters.
Peace!

Dunno if this will be good or bad news:
But when I was a little fatty in school I got stretch marks on my back, now i've lost the weight my stretch marks are still there but like you say they have just faded and are nearly white/skin colour now but don't imagine they'll ever be "invisible".
There is cream you can get to reduce stretch marks, like what pregnant woman use... maybe try that?

I agree...because you are young...the best thing you can do is drop some of your fat and then maintain yourself at a reasonable weight (or try to put on some muscle). The skin will bounce back a bit and the marks will fade somewhat but you need to allow your skin time to catch up. Going up and down in weight is really hard on the body. It will probably take a long period of time but take advantage of your youth. So much better to do it now instead of wait till you're my age and it's that much harder!

I'm also a wreck of thick pale stretch marks. Biceps, hips, and even a couple on my stomach. They are quite embarrassing now, but I agree with what has been said before: when I drop to sub 10, nobody will be looking at the stretch marks anymore.

This was a triumph. I'm making a note here, "huge success!"
It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

stretch marks will fade over time. instead of being red, they will be pretty light but will always be there. there are cremes and lotions u can apply that are suppose to help the process. do a little research on google and u'll find them

Those are miniscule bro! my stretch marks were far beyond what you have! get a hard exfoliating pad and scrub your body down every night. it will take a year or two to almost disappear but you are young and most kids your age get stretch marks just from growing! trust me when you bodyfat gets low and your putting on muscle no one will even notice them!

We recommend a 500 daily calorie deficit most of the time - not retarded diets where you don't eat for 3 days per week.

Well, great advice from fellows in here. Just stay fit. Make a choice now, whether to lose weight or have those stretchmarks. have a healthy diet starting now. Just do it for your self.

I have tiny but visible stretch marks on my tummy, thigh and boobs area. They get lighter with time and are less obvious now. I'm hoping they will be gone eventually. I know there are some cream that pregnant women usually use after childbirth to reduce their stretch marks. They are pretty effective, check your local drug stores to see if they sell such creams. Like most people say, stop yoyo-ing with your diet/exercise and get serious. When your bodyfat percentage drops low, nobody's going to notice stretch marks. They would be too busy admiring your muscles!
