to be honest i've never tried it, but all this recent hype over Trutein remind me of how American Whey started out across the boards and we all know that didn't end well.
if Trutein is still around a year from now i may think about buying a tub, but until then i'm going to hold off and see what happens.

I love this:

-they are not milled, and therefore won't be digested.
AWESOME
I also don't trust any BS on labels talking about microfiltering and such. Especially when they say things like "Ultrafiltered whey protein concentrate". Really? If it was actually ultrafiltered it would be an isolate now wouldn't it? instead of concentrate GARBAGE. Just write WPC-80 and get over it.
but srsly I've never tried it, who cares it's just proteinLast edited by Opies; 09-01-2010 at 09:49 PM.

Yes, it says on the site exactly how much is in the blend, so it is not a prop. blend. It is, however, incredibly cheap at $45 for 6lbs. (their isolate and their blend are both listed at $45 for 6lbs)
The real question is... are they telling the truth?
I do not see how they can undercut the competition so much. I did not see how MGN could undercut the competition so much either, until I realized what corners they were cutting.
So Trutein is either taking a hit on their profits in order to build a name for themselves (not likely) or they are cutting corners somewhere.
Question is, where are they cutting corners? Don't say ads in magazines, or any of that B.S. Is there no quality control? Where is their whey sourced from? I am highly skeptical of this company."Involuntary spasm! Witness the show! Enjoy the show!"

I am with you. I made a similar point in that large Myofusion thread recently, I believe on page 765 or so. I do not buy from small scale companies, typically, just due to quality control issues I read about on the forums and see occasionally through my work. There are some companies I just won't use.

Its blend yes, but its main protein source is whey, the egg and fat slow down the digestion, but its mainly a whey product.
When I think "blends" i think of UP 2.0 (Whey/Casein), Big Blend (whey, egg, casein, rice).
Those are blends in my book. When you are around 80/20 (whey to something else) you aren't looking at a blend, its a whey protein.
Blends are 60/40, 50/50.
Nothing against Myofusion, my 4 tubs of banana speak for themselves.Krispy Kreme Krew Forever.
