PR'd my squat today 3 reps at 135lb not huge for most, but it was pretty big for me as I'm coming off a knee injury, plus I got to use the 45lb plates which made me smile

I've got a permanent leg injury and have just measured my thighs and calves. I'm very pleased at how fast my atrophied leg is growing:
Oct 10, 2010: calves L:13" R:14" thighs L:18.5" R:22"
Nov 6, 2010: calves L:13.25" R:14" thighs L:19" R:22"
It's having a noticeable effect on its strength and I've moved from struggling to complete three sets of 15 left leg presses on the lowest setting to easily completing them on the next setting up.
If I can keep up this progress and add an extra 1/4" to my calf and 1/2" to my thigh by early December I'll be over the moon.
My aim is to be able to perform squats and deadlifts with proper form and a good ROM but I don't know what is a realistic time frame to put on that.

Yesterday I did my first jog/walk past 5k! I did 4.65 miles in 60 minutes. Not too shabby for my first time!
Today my goal is to get to 6.2 miles in 90 minutes. I can do this!!!Christi

Made it to the gym today for my second workout this week and it felt 1000 times better than my first workout this week. It has been a while since i have been to the gym and it feels good to be back. This time next year, i hope to be 50 pounds lighter or at least look better naked! You ladies are a great source of motivation as i am usually just a lurker. I am looking forward to posting some PB 's here soon! Keep up the hard work everybody!

Friday I finally hit 100lb squats. A piece of fluff for y'all but I was delighted. Next goal: 125
Goal: Peace, love & happiness...and arms that go bump in the night.

Victory and Goals
Victory: Returning to weightlifting and consistent training overall (I really beat myself up last year after I got injured - RC, torn upper bicep, hyper-extended knee injury...it SUCKED!)
9 reps alternating bicep curls with 25 lbs. (I was only able to do 4 reps until this week)
30 push-ups with good form
Goal: Workout six days a week (cardio 6 days a week / split weight training 5 days a week)
12 reps @ 25lbs. (bicep curls)
40 push-ups with good form
Compete in my FIRST EVER amateur competition by year's end (wish me luck!)
There are TONS of other goals but I'll reserve that for the journal I'm beginning.Néna26
