Team Striated Glutes: Paul and Bretts excellent adventure to the Pro Stage!

I competed for the first time April 11th 2009, at the USBF Empire states held in Binghamton. Ny. I placed 1st in Teens, and 1st in Bantamweights - in which I qualified to compete in the Men's open overall for a USBF pro card. I'm unsure of where I placed but definitely held my own and most speculated top 3-4, which I consider good for a 19 year olds first competition. Contest prep lasted from my birthday (december 7th) to april 11th, under the nutritional and contest prep guidance of Alberto Nunez. (TEAM BERTO.) Post contest I had been asked when I would next hit the stage, and well... 2011 I s'pose!

Paul

Paul's quite a trooper. You all know of his incredible transformation, and if not need to visit his old thread to get the scoop on what this guy's accomplished. Paul first competed in Syracuse ny when I met him, placing 2nd in noviceand 4th in open middles at the OCB NYS. To close out his season he competed at WNBF Worlds; stacked as hell, placing 6th in middleweights.

From here forth Team Berto and Team Striated glutes formed. We both talked and agreed that we'd return to the stage in 2011, in pursuit of a pro card that every natural bodybuilder has their eyes set on. This journal will detail the remaining 5-6 months of Offseason we each have...before contest prep calls, so stay tuned and thanks for stopping by!

Matt, I will be opening with the hercules. Closing with Worlds.

Will likely do a few smaller shows inbetween.

I will also be working on my book, fitness modeling pprojects, and colaborate with my sponsor to try to put natty bodybuilding into the spotlight a lil more.

Today was a good day training wise.

Hit a pr on deads working my way up to a single with 455, decent speeed. Finished with atf squats working up to 225x20.

Diet was good till I took the gf to Ralphs and ended up getting softserve topped cheesecake ice. Its 90 degrees at 11 pm here.

I have to be up at 6 to gym it before school and work. Then working an eleven hour shift.

Chest is up tomorrow morning along with thirty min of cardio.

Ugh I hate not having interwebs/compooter at home =(

Busy busy day for me.

Up at six.
Training by seven.
Class by nine thirty.
Work from eleven till just now.

Hit a pretty decent chest session. Fantastic pumps, energy was pretty non existant however.

Tomorrow is a much needed day off from the gym. Working a double so I will be on my feet for twelve hours anyway.

I did a long tour of duty with him last leading up to some spring shows last year. Happy to say I ended my season with teh glootz striationz as well.

Sounds good. I think I'll probably be planning on making the trip down for World's. Sounds like the place to be in 2011. Told Berto I'd come down if he did a show in "my hood". What part of NY is your area? I'm up in the ROC.

My car picks the worse times to break down. The piece of sh is leaking cooland, booooooooo. With school and work alone I depend on my car a lot, not to mention training.

I won't have a day off till next Thursday, need to make an appointment with vw for then.

I'm eager to get back to the gym and its barely been 24 hrs.

I work at a car dealer and can honestly say to try to find a good local mechanic. Dealer prices are super inflated. Most dealers profit nowadays by service repair/parts. Save a little $$$ for food
