It's pretty calorie dense, so just be sure to watch your portions.

I love me some trail mix. Especially all the gourmet kinds at Trader Joes, they have so many.

If you MAKE your own trail mix it can be very healthy, and pack it full of unsalted peeled sunflower seeds, a natural metabolism booster. If you are going to buy a pre-packaged trail mix make sure you read the nutrition facts; some are slathered in fats, sodium, and sugar. Here's an idea for a healthy trail mix you can make on your own:
Unsalted, peeled sunflower seeds
cashews
almonds
walnuts
pine nuts
if you want to add something sweet add a VERY SMALL amount of dark chocolate chips. Dark chocolate actually is healthier than regular chocolate and helps the heart believe it or not. But still, only a very small amount, meaning not even 1/6th of the trail mix

theres trader joes here in maryland. i lived in flordia for 2 years, i was sooo happy to move back to MD.
anyway being on topic, i make my own trail mix. much cheaper than premixed and healthier too. add exactly what you want and how much of it you want. i always take a 4oz bag with me to work and much on it throughout the day.

Raisins are awesome.
Some trail mixes are really high in calories. I came across one at Publix the other day that is whole grain oats with sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds, with some cane sugar. It tastes great and doesn't seem to bad calorie wise. I think it lies about the Pumpkin seeds though. They all look like sunflower seeds to me.

Yes its nutritious. How can you not love trail mix? Unless you cant eat nuts. I make my own...add peanuts, almonds, walnuts, small dried fruit (usually pineapple) and to top it off, m&ms.

The mix
With your weight and height I don't see a problem with it....Whenever possible choose trail mix that has raw nuts and fruit...the less processed ...the healthier the mix...
Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live the world they're been given than to explore the power they have to change it...Impossible is not a fact...It's an opinion...Impossible is not declaration...It's a dare...Impossible is potential...Impossible is temporary...Impossible is nothing...

1. Trail Mix is awesome.
2. We are bodybuilders, we do not "snack". Craving Trail Mix? Mix it in with some protein powder and oatmeal.
3. Trail Mix is calorically dense and easy to over-consume. Be cognizant of how much you're eating.
4. Everything in moderation.

I just ate 1100 calories (250g) of nature mix with peanuts, pumpkin seeds, cashews, cranberries, the whole works. Regret it but for a cheat day/meal it's a lot healthier than going for pancakes or burgers. Plus out of all the 75+g of fat I took in only 10g was saturated, probably from the peanuts and raisins, but if you eat in moderation like I didn't, then you shouldn't have a problem.
Try to get the organic brands with pumpkin seeds and things containing omega fats, mmmm
