Thursday 1.17.13- Shoulders
Good stuff today. Blasted the upper body nicely. I'm feeling so much more comfortable with the DB movements now. Weights should be rising soon!
DB Shoulder Press
30s x 10
55s x 10
55s x 10
55s x 7
90 sec rest. Could have had 10 on the final set with a little more rest. just ran out of gas
Incline DB
30s x 10
60s x 10
60s x 10
60s x 10
90 sec rest. So much easier than last week, I threw these up like nothing. With the shoulders fatigued from the shoulder press, these were all chest. Got a nice pump going
Lateral Raises
25s x 10
25s x 10
25s x 10
90 sec rest
Reverse Flies
25s x 10
25s x 10
25s x 10
90 sec rest. Was originally going to use 20s for this and the lateral raises but I didn't feel like taking the big DBs apart. I need to order some more 1" plates for these, 10s, 5s & 2.5s
Skulls
45 x 10
70 x 10
70 x 10
70 x 10
90 sec. hammered that long headPRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

Hell yeah, I've been loving it! Keeps the workout length manageable and definitely keeps the blood flowing! A few extra minutes here and there might help me hit a few more reps on the final set though.
Thanks fella! I'm glad the adjustment phase with the DBs didn't last for long. 10x more stable this week with everything. Need to get more plates for them soon....
Thanks fella! Felt good to hit the long head of the tris with those skulls.
Thanks mate! I'll be doing 265 5x5 methinks, so I'll have plenty of footage
taking song requests now....PRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

Thanks dude! felt like gravy today, so I'll definitely be bumping up the volume weight next week. Was so unsure of where to start with all the layoffs I've had with colds & the back issue- I didn't want to go too heavy. Hopefully 305x5 will go up no problem on Wednesday

Squats looked easy. Time to add some more weight and challenge yourself. But not too much. 5 lbs here and there adds up when you're doing 5x5.
Who wants to race me to a 365x5x5 on squat? Any takers?S/B/D: 485/305/500 lbs

To quote Justin Lascek.....
Don’t be silly or stupid to fulfill bragging rights; nobody cares how big your penis is, and nobody cares what you do on Volume Day. Save the dick swinging for an adult-like Intensity Day or a competition lift.
I wanna see a race to a 405x5!!!
edit: Oh yeah, nice volume squats Woody! Only 3-4 minutes of rest is pretty short actually. My Journal (RIP 05/11 - 09/13):

Going along nicely already on the squats, keep doing what your doing and add small increments. Its all gonna help.
