Thursday 2.7.13- Woodbench 3B (& Shoulders)
boy was I beat when I got up this morning. lower back was pretty fatigued after the deads and squats yesterday. It didn't seem to linger for long, because as the morning progressed I felt better and better.
Tonight's session went well, got some good work in.
Paused Bench
45 x 10
135 x 5
175 x 3
215 x 5
215 x 5
215 x 5
3 min rest on top sets. All reps paused. Shoulders felt good this week so I did 3 sets of 5 instead of 3x3 (last week they bothered me)
Incline DB
30s x 10
70s x 10
70s x 10
70s x 10
2 min rest. These came up nicely. last few reps on the final set slowed down a touch, but I powered them up no problem. It helps that I've finally got the height set correctly for using the DB hooks. no more awkward unracks hopefully!
Face Pulls
100 x 10
100 x 10
100 x 10
90 sec rest. I haven't done these in forever. They felt nice on the rear delts & upper back
Lateral Raises
20s x 13
20s x 13
20s x 13
90 sec rest. nice and strict
Skulls
45 x 10
85 x 10
85 x 10
85 x 10
90 sec rest (except for final set- 150 sec). Holy hell the pump from these was huge. Tris felt massive afterwardsPRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

Encouragement is for women! We're men. We berate, belittle and discourage each other until the feat is accomplished! Then, and only then, can you offer praise in the form of "Nice job, bro!", "That's awesome, man!" and/or a single firm smack on the ass followed up by a "Nice play, bro!". Get your sh*t together, guys!

Lol
Snow has been falling all day but it's only added up to about 4-5" so far. The worst is yet to come late tonight when the real storm gets here. If the meteorologists are correct, I'll be waking up to 24" morePRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

This was the view out my door this morning:
I've got something for ya
Come on up and help me shovel!
Thanks my man! Consistency is the key
Yeah we've got probably 2 feet and its not suppose to stop until tonightPRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

Saturday 2.9.13- Volume Day
I'm officially snowed in for the weekend as you can see from the pic above
Luckily we still have power (and hopefully it'll stay that way!)
I hit a nice session today. Volume Squats were the most challenging yet but it felt good to hammer through them.
I've noticed my intensity and drive has been really high this week. When I feel like I'm done with a set, I'm finding myself digging down and pounding out 2-3 more. Feelsgood
Warmups:
Band Pull-Aparts (BTN, Pull Aparts (Front), Band Pull-Throughs and Band Face Pulls
3 circuits x 10 reps of each
Volume Squats
135 x 5
185 x 5
225 x 1
255 x 1
280 x 5
280 x 5
280 x 4 +1 (realized I miscounted after I racked the bar so I got under and hit one more)
280 x 5
280 x 5
5 min rest. Definitely the most challenging VD yet. Still hit everything no problem though.
Leg Curls
75 x 10
75 x 10
75 x 10
90 sec rest
Chin Ups
BW x 5
+30 x 5
+30 x 5
+30 x 5
120 sec rest. pretty sure these are PRs. I've done higher reps with +30 pounds before, but my BW was probably 170-180 lbs instead of the 205+ that I am now
Decline Situps
x20
x20
x20
SS w/
Calf Raises
60 x 20
60 x 12 / BW x 12
60 x 20
90 sec rest between SS.
Poundstones
45 x 32
dunno if it was the chinups or just the volume taking it's toll on me, but I had nothing left for these today
PRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1
