    Thursday 2.7.13- Woodbench 3B (& Shoulders)


    boy was I beat when I got up this morning. lower back was pretty fatigued after the deads and squats yesterday. It didn't seem to linger for long, because as the morning progressed I felt better and better.

    Tonight's session went well, got some good work in.

    Paused Bench
    45 x 10
    135 x 5
    175 x 3
    215 x 5
    215 x 5
    215 x 5
    3 min rest on top sets. All reps paused. Shoulders felt good this week so I did 3 sets of 5 instead of 3x3 (last week they bothered me)

    Incline DB
    30s x 10
    70s x 10
    70s x 10
    70s x 10
    2 min rest. These came up nicely. last few reps on the final set slowed down a touch, but I powered them up no problem. It helps that I've finally got the height set correctly for using the DB hooks. no more awkward unracks hopefully!

    Face Pulls
    100 x 10
    100 x 10
    100 x 10
    90 sec rest. I haven't done these in forever. They felt nice on the rear delts & upper back

    Lateral Raises
    20s x 13
    20s x 13
    20s x 13
    90 sec rest. nice and strict

    Skulls

    85 x 10
    90 sec rest (except for final set- 150 sec). Holy hell the pump from these was huge. Tris felt massive afterwards

    Thanks dude! I can already feel a difference coming off the chest even after just two weeks of paused work. I think the DB work I've been doing is helping too.

    Hopefully! I know if I can get the bar off my chest enough so the tris take over, I can lock it out

    poundstones start to burn between 20-30. above 40 they just straight up hurt lol

    I just watched yesterdays video Holy 53 reps on the poundstones. Do you feel touch and go is easier on deads?

    Bench is looking good along with the Skulls heavy work with short rest thats great

    Touch n go is definitely easier. It easier for me to stay tight and keep in the groove instead of resetting myself in between reps.

    I'm officially snowed in for the weekend as you can see from the pic above
    Luckily we still have power (and hopefully it'll stay that way!)
    I hit a nice session today. Volume Squats were the most challenging yet but it felt good to hammer through them.

    I've noticed my intensity and drive has been really high this week. When I feel like I'm done with a set, I'm finding myself digging down and pounding out 2-3 more. Feelsgood
