Thanks fella! Form is feeling awesome on those now that I'm back doing them on the regular
Nice! Have you ever run it before?
It'll probably be in the spring or early summer. I know a few of the candidates plan on cutting some fat first (myself Included)
Hoping by the end of Hudson next year that 500 will be just a warmup on the way to a 550 pullPRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

Friday 11.30.12- Macenkos 4B
Phucking Internet is down so I can't upload my videos and I hve to type this up from my phone
Session went well today. No PRs but I was much happier with my form vs Tuesdays session. I slowed down my descent a bit which probably cost me a few reps on the amrap sets but I felt much more in control.
I've been trying to lower the bar a bit lower on my chest- sometimes I'm a bit too high and I think that's causing some of the shoulder strain. I don't really want to tweak form too much mid program, but I can Phuck around a bit on the lower weight sets. I have one side view vid if I can ever post it
Failed one rep on 260 set. It was a form failure rather than going for too many reps. Touched the bar too low and it got in front of me and that was it. I didn't try to grind it out, just dumped it on the safeties.
Bench
45x10
135x8
155x3
175x8
220x6
230x5
245x4
260x3 (failed 4th)
230x9
225x8 (should have been 220 but no phucking way I was unloading the bar just to put little plates back on.
stopped as soon as they started to get grindy on the last two amrap sets. You can see me pause after the 8th with 230 and contemplate a 9th but I did the smart thing and racked it
Vids hopefully will be up later when my Internet provider gets their sh!t together.PRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

Just benching today? I'm always curious to see how failure works on the pins, when I get a home gym I'm sure those pins will be getting hit often with my bench failures lulz

Sweet workout man, i hate that feeling of misplacing the bar on the chest. LOL i did 185 CGBP once a weight for normalliy 10-12 reps easy. and i completely botched the placement on rep 7 and couldnt get it up lol

Thanks Punky!
Internet is back this morning (kinda). Spotty at best, but I at least uploaded my video. Hopefully they'll fix it completely so I can watch netflix tonight lol
Yeah, my schedule got messed up this week so everything got pushed back a day. I just wanted to bench and GTFO. Squats today though!
Lol just watch the second set of the vid and you'll see my graceful slide out from under the bar after the failed rep
Thanks mate! I gotta play around with it a bit more, but doing it on an 85% set and a 90% AMRAP probably isn't the best time to do it haha
Vids finally!
You can see on the 245 & 260 sets, I'm really trying to tuck the elbows and touch the bar a bit lower on my chest. Felt awkward with the bar moving away from me on the descent, although the press back up felt strong. Any tips /suggestions are welcome (including stop fukking around with your form on heavy sets!)PRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

I loved how you escaped! Been there a few times.
Id stick to your normal benching for heavy sets, especially at week 4 of a program.~~~~~~~~~~

Saturday 12.1.12- Squat Day
Nice session today! After a lot of thought over this past week, I've decided to skip the next 5/3/1 cycle. I want to dial my intensity back a bit. I've mentioned my lack of motivation on squat days for the past few weeks and it really caught up with me last week. Without that hard mental drive, form can go to sh!t fast when you've got 90% of your 1RM on your max. my 350 double was ugly last week and I'm worried it's going to get worse.
I dialed back to 75% of my last working max of 370 and will use a 4x4 scheme for a bit. 4x4 worked well with me last year when I did LIME's squat program. even if I do 10 pound jumps, this will still keep the weight manageable for a few weeks so I'm not killing myself every session.
Squat
45 x 10
135 x 5
185 x 3
225 x 1
275 x 4
275 x 4
275 x 4
275 x 4
not hard, but it's not like they were warmup sets, it still felt like I did some work. Due to the lighter weight I was able to stay much more upright
RDL
135 x 10
185 x 10
185 x 10
185 x 10
Kept these light and really focused on form and getting that stretch in the hammies. I'm gonna be feeling these tomorrow- every time I re-introduce these to the routine, my hamstrings hurt for 2 days afterwards
Chin Ups
BW x 5
+10 x 5
+10 x 5
+10 x 5
not hard at all
Kneeling Ab Wheel
x12
x12
x12

Thanks dude! Hopefully a few week break from the intensity will work well for me. Then I can get that PR train rolling again!
Thanks dude! I've used the 4x4 scheme for squats on a program I did last year and it worked well for me
I considered resetting the 5/3/1 weights but the amount that I wanted to reset would take months to climb back from with the slow progression.PRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

My squats went to **** while on 5/3/1 as well, I think more because of lack of frequency/total volume than anything - switching up to a 4x4 will help I think.
