Since picking up an injury I've moved on to powerplate training. I can't find many forums talking about vibration training so I thought I would give it a go for the next 8 weeks I'm on a cut anyways.
They say
"Power Plate® equipment is the premium vibration device powering a new dimension in wellness solutions for all ages, lifestyles and physical abilities. It uses the principles of Acceleration Training™ to stimulate the body’s natural response to vibration. These vibrations transmit waves of energy throughout the body, activating muscle contractions between 25 and 50 times per second, enhancing overall performance in sessions as short as 15 minutes a day, 3 times a week. "
I find this very hard to believe.
So the next 8 weeks I'll be doing squats, press ups, tricep dips, planks, crunches etc. I'll be working out for a hour a time on the machine 4x a week.
I'm wondering if anyone has tested out Vibration training during a cut?

imho i think its a load of crap, it originally started however many yrs ago when nasa used to use it for there astronauts to help build some muscle once they had come back from space, and of course it did help them recover some muscle as they hardly used them in space. So when the product got made mainstream the companies would claim the fitness machine nasa uses with great results ect.
The thing is here on earth we use our muscles all the time of course, and standing on a vibrating plate will no where near stimulate muscle growth.

I think training for such a short time is stupid but I have to admit doing dips/push ups/crunches on the plate is a killer. Standing on the power plate will do nothing I believe apart from making you feel slightly sick. I would recommend holding a dip or a push up to see how it feels it's more of a burning feel like you get from training with high reps. I'm just testing it out for toning up while im injured. Doubt they work great for gaining strength apart from on the core so if you have a weak core they could also be handy working out on them. I won't tellhow effective it has been till a couple of months time.

i agree that doin dips/push ups/crunches will work also, as in most cases bodyweight exercises anywhere will until you are able to handle your own weight with ease, But if your injured great do what you have to do weather it be power plate, walking whatever just good to see your still making an effort even with an injury, better then sitting around all day!!!
