Thing is Professor...it may be that it feels ok but then the damage or issues it is causing then appear when another angle or line of resistance is employed and you get knocked down by it.

It was the L5-S1 that slipped doing the one arm rows with the traditional form of one knee on the bench/one foot on the floor. While the stress of the angle on the L5 was not terribly bad in that position, it was enough to cause a problem.

The supported two arm DB row protocol totally takes that lower back angle out of the equation. My first run with them this week felt very good.

Regrettably, it's that time again - hope to be back at it later in the week!

Under the circumstances as of late, it sounds like this is just what you need right now. Take advantage of it, M.

Good work. IMO, for bodybuilders, these are the best overall shoulder exercise in existence.







It's a problem everywhere, MH. At the last commercial gym where I had a membership, there was Randy Barns, a former Olympic Shot Putter, Denny Harrah, retired NFL lineman with the LA Rams, Larry Robinson and Kurt Blair, both NPC competitors (Blair won the Souther States Heavies in '97 (IIRC; that was a long time ago) among the regulars. Even though the place was a 'fitness center,' it never felt like one. There was no BS in there, ever. Until ownership changed, and all the policies changed, and all the regulars (including me) left.

The last of the hard-core gyms here (where Phil Pfister, WSM, trained) was torn down 3 years ago. It's a parking lot now.

I loved this place! It certainly never did feel like a 'fitness center' as you say.

Prayers and good thoughts on going my brother.

Thought of you this past Friday; had front-row seats for the Gregory Porter concert at the South-Miami Dade Cultural Arts Center. Stunning, completely. What a phenomenal show. We've had discussions of Porter before and catching him live is something that is not to be missed. Got to meet him afterwards and get some pics and autographs from him as well. Tremendously gracious, nice fella.

This coming week is bringing Christian McBride to town. And just yesterday picked up tickets for the Wynton Marsalis & JLCO concert/Christmas show here in Miami as well. Good stuff indeed.
