Improve my total every time I step on the platform.
Being a male is a matter of birth. However, being a "man" is a matter of choice.
Photo in Avi is not current, I'm way fatter now.

Thanks guys.
Yeah I knew what you meant. I'm not very talkative at the gym in general, maybe I should be a little more.. Usually just have my hat pulled down and my headphones blaring lol.
Hah didn't feel like drawing any more unnecessary attention to myself in a new atmosphere. I'll be back in my university gym on starting Thursday so then I'll get some footage again, things are about to get very heavy here for a bit since the meet is coming up soon.
Got lazy quick on the lulzy videos, need to just think of something and do it.

Tuesday, January 3rd, 6:30am
Squats
455x5
*Tough, back was sore and made things awkward.
A. Bench Press
315x4
315x3
315x3
225x10 - Feet up.
*Got pissed about not getting 5 the first set, proceeded to punish myself.
B. Pull-ups
50x4
50x3
50x3
BWT x10
Figured I'd use my pass again since it was good for a full 24 hours and it's a stone's throw away from my work. Definitely found my training center for the summer. Only $20 a month with no contract. Gonna stay at the university gym for now due to proximity.
Not bad for going right after work and running on very little sleep.
Deadlifts Thursday then lol I dunno.

Man incredible squatting numbers last workout, wow man.
225x10 feet up lol! Makes it a fair bit tougher.
Nick, could you try reverse band deadlifts some time this year?

After working with the slingshot, the next bench workout with straight weight, did it feel weird to you?~~~~~~~~~~

1. It wasn't really that bad. I had at least 15. My leg drive sucks when the weight isn't heavy anyways.
2. We'll see, I don't have the bands I would need and I am not going to be going terribly heavy for a while on deads (after the meet that is).
3. Form felt different since nothing was pulling my elbows in, so it's a different beast trying to keep the bar path nice. Sling Shot benching really is easy.

Thursday, January 5th, 5:00pm
Deadlifts
405x3
495x3
545x2
565x0 - Shooting pain in inner thighs before it broke the floor :/
....Switching to conventional....
495x3
515x2
515x2
Shrugs
405x10
405x10
405x10
Barbell Standing Press
135x5
185x3
225x2 - w/leg drive
135x8 - Behind the neck
Not getting any leg drive with sumo recently, likely due to volume of squats. Having problems with my right glute-ham tie-in as well, which is messing things up. I am losing lower back tightness initiating the pull, which is turning it into an awkward straight legged sumo deadlift.
In conclusion.......I am pulling conventional for the meet.
I was inspired by Ben Rice to do more volume with everything, and add presses on deadlift days. My shoulders need work.

Lulz it looked locked out to me, he just didn't hold it long.
I don't plan on abandoning the semi-sumo position forever, I think I just need to bring up my hip weaknesses. My squat is pretty much all leg and no back, and my semi-sumo is essentially the same. Squatting heavy-ish on both Monday and Tuesday left my legs beat up, which is probably why my legs weren't doing much for me today. I would imagine it would be quite similar in a meet situation, which is why I am going to switch to conventional for now. I felt VERY strong with conventional despite the fatigue from prior sets. It just felt a little awkward since I really haven't done many in a while.
Got 3 weeks of what I would call "real training" left, just gonna train my ass of and hope for the best.

I like it, I just need more strength in my adductors to do it on a regular basis.
It's kind of up in the air right now; I could see myself pulling either style at the meet. Setting up with straps on sumo is tough since I find it harder to stay tight in my lower back. I warm-up through 405 without straps and it does feel different.
I don't even know what this means?
