Thursday October 21st, 10:45am
It is weird but it works with my overnight work schedule. I can't stand being in there at night, it is just too crowded and there is never enough plates to go around, especially when some jackass thinks it is a great time to leg press press 800 lbs, lol.
Anyways....
1. Squat
495x1 (hardly any grind whatsoever)
2A. Bench Press
315x3-2-1 (Used Germinator's "Fear Based Bodybuilding" technique on my last set. It was the best rep of the day. Just freaking killed it.)
3B. Chins
80x3-2-1
Purposely worked out in a weak state today. Hardly have eaten anything and I set my belt on squats one notch looser since it will fit a little different come meet day, and I don't want any surprises. Whole workout only took 45 minutes, with warm-ups.
This is only my second time working out Thursday mornings, so I gotta get used to the new crowd giving me dumb looks after nailing 405+ squats or benching 3 plates, lol.
Saturday I will probably hit a quick 545 on deads and call it a day. Next week will be easy. Probably hit openers on monday for squat/bench (475/320), then on thursday just some explosive reps.

Saturday, October 23rd, 1:00pm
1. Deadlift
545x1
2A. JM Press
185x15
205x10
225x6
2B. EZ Bar Curl
95x15
105x10
115x6
BLAH. I really just went through the motions. I could have probably just laid down and took a nap right before my 545, I wasn't amped at all.
Probably going to open either 529 or 540 on deadlifts at the meet. The 545 grinded just slightly more than I wanted it to.
7 days out! Just gotta worry about weight and staying healthy at this point. The hard work is behind me.

185.4 after work today (which is a little dehydrated since I don't drink a lot of fluids at work). Work has been great for getting my weight down. I just walk around and move boxes for 8 hours. Just had a couple Eggo waffles and a cup of milk though, lol. Have not had to drop my carbs down too bad so I am VERY happy about that.
Looking forward to not munching on cottage cheese and tuna next week.

Saturday, October 15th, 4:15am
I am up. Lol.
Was having some technical difficulties with my scale being inconsistent yesterday, but it is being consistent this morning.
It had me at 181.8 after my sweating session around 7pm, then I took a shower and it kept saying I weighed 182.6. I had 2 cans of tuna (with a little Miracle Whip) with 3 slices of bed without drinking any fluids just to be safe, then passed out on the couch at my parent's house watching Eastbound and Down. It said 180.8 this morning, so I think I should be alright. Might have a Power Bar this morning before I hit the road with my mom and little sisters, then gotta hit up my traditional Sausage Biscuit breakfast at McDonald's right after weigh-ins, lol.
My worst nightmare would be showing up and weighing in at like 82.500000001(kg) or something dumb like that.
Feeling a lot better than I was before my last meet down at 181, and it is definitely due to being a little more careful with my diet.

Hudson Open
Weighed in at frickin 180.3!
Squat
475 - killed it.
x505 - went a little too deep and didn't get it.
505 - nailed it, and it was the American Junior Record for about 90 seconds until another 181 junior went 520.
Bench Press
x320
x320
x320
Don't want to talk about it at all.
Deadlift
535 - did it beltless for poops and giggles.
x555 - felt heavy and I felt my back twinge before it left the floor so I said forget it; couldn't total anyways.
No more 181s. Bad things happen in that weight class.Last edited by BombDonald; 11-01-2010 at 10:32 AM.

My upper body was exhausted from stocking dog/cat food all night, lol. Kept the heavy upper body work to a minimum. Was going to shoot for 315x3 on bench, but after unracking it I put it back since my shoulders were shaking.
Really tired from going off no sleep and just getting off work, but it was either now or 3:30 this afternoon when I am even more tired. Got too much crap to do today.
Next week should be some solid training. I am feeling a 495x3 on squats in the near future. Monday is going to be my heavy day from now on, and Thursday my lighter day. Obviously with deadlifts on Saturdays.
Bulk on!

It is almost like I forgot everything I had been practicing with deadlifts though, lol.
I have been (at least I think) starting my pulls with a pretty straight back (and lower hips) since it makes it easier for me to lockout, but this video does not reflect that at all.
Doing my deadlifts the style shown in my video makes it really easy to get weights off the floor, but makes lockouts really hard. There is no reason I should have had any grinding with that 535.
The straighter back makes breaking the floor a little more difficult, but it doesn't matter how much I can pull off the floor if I can't lock it out. I need more good mornings and other lower back exercises.
BTW I was reading that thread where that guy was arguing with you about rest days and was just LOLing my ass off. Good stuff.Last edited by BombDonald; 11-06-2010 at 09:18 AM.
