I usually do it at least 5 times a day. I dunno if I am OCD or what?! I just have a habit of wanting to do it. I usually do it first thing in the morning soon as I get out of bed, after I eat each meal if I' around one,and usually right b4 I go to bed,and sometimes at other sporatic times through out the day. Anyone else like this?

Get rid of the scale! I used to be the same way and it drove me crazy. This summer I gave up the scale and just went by my looks and you can tell if you are losing weight just by watching muscle definition, vascularity, pant size, etc. I would say its helpful when starting out so you can figure out how much to eat but after that idk. I probably should weigh myself its been almost four months lol

twice a day everyday.
once upon waking up and after pissing.
another after my daily morning work out.
this gives me a good upper lower range and an idea of how much water weight I am sweating out (and reminds me to drink lots more)Progress Blog:

In the morning before I go to the gym. Mostly during the week I do it just because, but Sunday is usually the day I do it though for the most accurate measure.
Getting back to it. First order of business, cut a bit.
Goal to that is to run the Peachtree Road Race this year. Currently up to 3.5/6 miles nonstop.
Update: Well, I beat 22000 other people in the Peachtree... only took some 90 minutes lol.

More than once a day is pointless. You should expect your weight over a short time scale (24-72hrs) to always fluctuate within a range of lbs. Depending on many factors my "range" at the moment is about 210-216lbs. So if you want to see weight loss/gain monitor your range or avg weight and space out how often you weight yourself. If you want to go off your truest weight use yourself in the morning on an empty stomach as your reference time. Also remember the #'s mean little. For most on this forum the only concern is LBM & body fat.*Muscle-Tech & Vitargo Sponsored*

Weigh myself once a day, in the morning after taking a leak. Keep track of it in an excel spreadsheet with chart. I like to keep track of it so I can see how certain foods/meals may affect the numbers.

Generally once a week, on saturday mornings as i usually eat the same food on a friday week-by-week so i can assume my carb/sodium intake should result in roughly the same water retention for as much accuracy as possible. I sometimes check midweek on a wednesday just for interest but i never let the scales discourage me. It's very important to understand your weight WILL fluctuate depending on food & drink intake and bowel contents, it's also important to remember if the scale suddenly jumps up 2-3lb in a day it is not fat you have put on, it's physically impossible unless you managed to eat an entire freezer full of food.
It's best not to obsess over your weight or the tape measure as disappointment leads to discouragement, discouragement leads to lack of motivation, lack of motivation leads to...the dark side.Started: 15/06/10, 5'10, 270lb
Current: 15/09/10, 228lb
Goal: 31/12/10 190lb
Motivation will bring you more strength than muscles ever will.

Every Friday after my morning piss and before I hop in the shower. Once a week at the same time seems to help me with seeing progress but not getting too caught up in the pounds measured. To each his own!

I do it once a day, in the morning before any activity except the manditory bathroom visit hehe. I cant help it, my fatloss progress is so fast right now its exciting to weigh myself. Also it keeps me motivated, if i didnt loose any weight i will work harder that day.

My "weigh-in" day in usually Monday mornings. THat way I can track the weight change from week to week... However, I feel compulsive and weigh myself every day.
There have been weeks where I stayed away from the scale and only jumped on it on the weigh-in day...and I must say that those weeks were the best for my sanity! lol...
What I have experienced is that if the weight is dropping at a good rate during the week, I tend to get relaxed/overconfident as the end of the week approaches and I might even reverse all the good work with a cheat meal because I was overconfident.
But if the reverse happens and I am not losing weight like I should, I am worried all week and tend to under-eat and over work to get closer to the results....
Neither is good in my opinion....
So I suggest you weigh yourself on the same day every week instead of every day or 5 times a day... Its counterproductive.
