    Lifting weights at night...

Is it okay to do this? I usually sleep all day but stay up most the night and usually don't get to sleep until about 2 or 3 in the morning.

Explain what reasons it wouldn't be?

your body doesn't know what time it is, and at least you lifting at night and not lifting at all. If it's the best/only time you can lift go for it. Stay strong.

I lift at night. Easier for me to stop by the gym on my way home from work than to get up early and go. I usually get there around 630 and stay for an hour maybe hour and a half depending on who I'm feeling. I would be wary of taking any stimulants or preworkouts late at night though b/c they may keep you awake.

Well your body releases it's peak amount of growth hormone during first 3 hours of sleep(i think thats the timeframe not sure), so it's not as if your body would not get enough of that stuff post workout.

Besides, just because it's night, doesnt mean your biology changes and your muscles won't work or experience hypertrophy, just make sure to get enough sleep and good enough diet.
