I'm really into lucid dreaming (http://www.dreamviews.com/section/introduction-5/) and sleep cycles and stuff and I'm glad to see this article.
I found a watch a while ago that you set it to wake you up say between 6:30 and 7:00. Then it monitors your sleep patterns and has a quiet alarm go off when you are at your lightest sleep during that time period. I wanted to buy, but it was like $179 or something.

There was also this cool dawn simulator that is basically a light that turns on gradually, waking you up gradually.

Yea like you can go like 2 or 3 months in a bad sleep cycle and then recover in one night, because you can't make up lost sleep. Although 7-8 hours of sleep is absolutely necessary for everyone, lost sleep can't be made up. Remember to post any questions on here about your sleep concerns and ill answer them to the best of my abilities.

What sleep problems?
Interesting, I'll check it out later! Repped.
He is right about the REM being made up for, the next night. And of course you can make up lost sleep, by sleeping more than what you have been for the past month or whatever that time period is. Also, 7-8 hours isn't necessary for everyone. It's the norm, but it varies.

hey nice post....
i too believe in sleep when you feel but sleet without interruption
One of the biggest motivators to getting exercise is simply to be rested, healthy and energetic – impossible without enough sleep. This is simple and basic, like most of what i have been taught. Science teaches that it takes a certain amount and quality of sleep to:
* Metabolize carbohydrates properly,
* Maintain leptin, growth hormones, proper blood pressure and insulin resistance,
* Keep a positive attitude through decreased anxiety and perceived stress.Photography
