I just can't stand tupac, i hate his music, his lyrics and his general attitude. I think he was bad for hip hop, IMO his beats and lyrics are very average but it seems that every teenager who knows some words to his songs is an instant hip hop expert. Biz's lyrics sucked, was he original, sure, but he was weak, listen to him now, doing ads for Snapple and ****. Slick Rick told stories whcih was cool, but Tupac had so much passion and emotion in his rhymes, had great delivery and talked about political things. Why would you hate on him? Dude I think we are just going to have to agree to disagree on this one, listing the "top ten greatest rappers" is a very subjective issue because we are all going to value different qualities in musicians. Also, I know this sounds ****ed, but Will Smith did a lot for bringing rap a little more mainstream. He never made a good song in all his years, but he did a fair bit for 'the game'.
