I did Rippetoe's for 6 of these 11 months, and although I gained strength, mass gains were very minimal

I was eating 3500 calories while on Rippetoe's and was getting really fat, which the prgress pics from before showed. I did a 2 month and 18 day cut from march 29 to june 17 and since then I've been bulking.
In September 26 2009 I was weighing 133 lbs, today I weigh 157 lbs.
Squat 255x5x5
Deadlift 275x5x3
Bench not sureOh hey what's up

My legs are really big btw, that's where I've gained more mass than anywhere else. I don't have before pics though

Well you obviously gained mass because you weigh 20lbs more than you did last year and are just as lean if not leaner. So keep doing what you are doing. Some people (like you and me) just have ****ty genetics for building mass. Just have to keep working at it.
