    No bloating on carb up?

    Hey guys, I'm doing my first carb up on the ckd and I've kept my fat intake low and have consumed approxiametly 2500 calories of dominantly high gi carbs. While I did notice a little water retention during the 24 hour period, I didn't see the bloat I wqs expecting. Is this because my glycogen had been so depleted? Did I not eat enough carbs? And how long/any tips to get back into keto?

    aren't you suppose to eat LOW gi-carbs on keto carb up?

    edit: or at least the majority of carbs are Low gi?

    From what I understood it was high gi the first 24 hours then low gi the next day. I hope I'm right? I consumed a pretty decent amount of sugar today too, is that bad as long as it fit into my macros?

    doesnt have to be.. a good carb up consists of high and low.. if doing a 48 hour carb up.. first day high gi.. second day low gi.. all carbs will get sucked into your glycogen stores.. no reason not to enjoy them.. keeping fat low of coarse

    does it matter really what sort of GI you have? ultimatley they're going towards glucose replenish .. people only stress low so u dont chew through 400g of sugar in a day
