I usually work out a bit later (like at 7-8PM). This is what I ate throughout the day so far and it's all pre-workout. I'm on a clean bulk, don't want get over 3,000 calories so I'm just curious if I'm overdoing it.
2 large bowls of Shredded Wheat cereal with fat free milk
3 chicken leg/thighs with 2 large bowls of chicken soup (potatoes, carrots, onions).
Like 20-30 almonds
1 bowl of medium sized brown rice
2 slices of whole wheat bread with peanut butter

EH thats a lot of food
3 hours before workout I do casein (slow absorbing protein) with water
1 1/2 hours before I will eat 1/2 cup oatmeal and some chips maybe
30 min before I take jack3d or white flood for pump/energyMisc jawbrah appreciation crew

You really only need good carbs for energy about 2 hours before workout. Then a protein shake and apple is great about 1 1/2 hours before. This is if you have a near-empty stomach so its digested by the time you start lifting.
You never want to lift with a bunch of food sitting in your stomach.
Perhaps just eat a good solid meal 3 hours pre workout, then whey protein about an hour before.Misc jawbrah appreciation crew
