well ive been losing quite abit of extra fat that i have and i can see a line down where the abdominal muscle area is and i was wondering what bodyfat % they usually start appearing at
should i start doing a proper ab routine now or wait abit more?

It's different from person to person, and also depends on how you define "start to appear".
I guess very roughly you could say:
Top 2: about 14%
Top 4: about 12%
>6 : beneath 10%
Based on pictures I've seen. I'm about 14% myself and can see top 2 abs clearly. Can see top 4 (not clearly) when flexing.
