Why is overtime taxed so high?

Why is overtime taxed at 50% on my checks if, according to federal tax brackets, Im still in the same tax bracket.

I worked 6 hours of OT last week and they took half even though Im still in the same tax bracket.

I actually didnt get "taxed" 50% but thats how much my company withheld. Every company I've worked for always withholds 50% in OT. Why do they withhold so much money if you're not even being taxed that amount?
