Why do people on here hate everything you do?
Best competition lifts (148, raw w/ wraps): 501 squat, 303 bench press, 573 deadlift, 1355 total.
Best gym lifts: 520 squat, 310 bench press, 575 deadlift, 1405 total.

There's nowhere for me to train seriously near me either but I tried it out and really enjoyed it. I am a similar strength to you and have adapted quite well to weightlifting. Aiming for Rio 2016! A 500lb squat is about the strength you need to be reach the olympic qualifying level. Making do with substandard equipment and no coaches atm but won't let that hold me back!
After trying it out for a while I no longer have a desire to compete in powerlifting, other than to break the british record bench press for U23 which should come soon!

What a coincidence; I'm also aiming for Rio 2016. There, I'll be shooting for a gold medal in shirtless epigenetics explanations via vertical video. I'm not going to talk about my current training on here though.

Its an interesting idea. Being realistic I'm too old to be great at oly lifting, and I don't want to drink orange soda hardcore 7 gallons a day.
I will take your word for it and rep you I guess.

That's what I was told, I started at 21 and was told I'll never make it anywhere at my age. Gave me more motivation to succeed really!
Good luck with your goals!
