I am worried your coordination is going to be kinda phucked up from the front squats though. Maybe front squat friday(I said sat earlier because I was worried about injury) at a near max, and that will stop you from peaking, and allow for you to be in great shape for back squats.

If you have amazing results doing this, I may consider it for after my meet. Wanna go from 365-405 FS.

Really quick workout
Bench Press
The bars at this gym were SOOO phucking thick that they hurt my wrists to use them. They were all squat bar thickness.
135x10
185x5
235x5
275x5
295x3
225x5
DB bench
90x3x10
Tates
40x10
45x10
25x10 ----> 25x10 DB bench
thoughts
Was only about a 20 minute workout. Only purpose of today was to make sure I get some form of upper body work in.
The way I see it now, most likely it will go like this.
Saturday or Sunday - Max fronts, 2 rep double moderate effort back squats
Monday - Test to see where my bench is at
Friday - Max squat and MAYBE deadlift if I feel good
Sometime after friday - max deadlift and push press

Front squats
365x1 <---- 20 lb PR
I didn't attempt any heavier. There was really no point, I wasn't peaked today as I suspected I would be. Its okay, I know for the future that this strategy won't work, and the sweetspot for maxing after smolov is probably 5-6 days. I might have attempted a little more if I had the squat bar, but I think whoever owns it took it with them before the hurricane, hopefully it will be back before I need to max back squats
Back squats
405x2 <--- it felt weird squatting with a non-squat bar, but its only 405 so it was obviously pretty easy
[curls
30x2x10
30x23
thoughts
My upper back has so much residual fatigue its ridiculous. Its pretty evident moving forward that my upper is likely what is/was holding me back on all 3 lifts.
My upper back did get a lot stronger though, and I feel it on my back squats. I am able to really get a good angle now.

Lulz yeah, actually getting ready for macenkos so had to stop this 5 day a week type training so i can recover and hit a pr on push press, front squat and bench. Probably going to try it later tonight. Going for a 275x1 front squat. Hit 245 the other night and was light and easy

Yeah, I was expecting you to hit 365-385. You probably could have hit 385. It's interesting you think your upper back received the greatest benefit from the program. Can't wait to see what you end up Benching and Pulling.

Idk man, That Donald ******* seems to be benefiting from them but I can never tell for sure, that ******* reps out like 95% of his for 30 reps, so I never have any idea where his 1RM is at.
I thought they helped everything a little bit when I did them.
Probably 385 if I had to guess, too.
I doubt my bench is gonna be anything special, I haven't seriously trained it in forever. Push press seems like its gonna on that awesome time though.
I have no idea where my pull is at, gonna be played by feel.

Have you noticed any significant hypertrophization of your muscular system as a result of your recent barbell adventures?
