I usually take casein before going to bed. Now I've been eating like 100g of sardines. The sardines I buy are soaked in tomato sauce, not oil. I drain them completely. 100g of it supposedly has 180 kcal, 20g protein, 1.5 to 1.8g of omega-3, and probably 25% of RDA calcium. Do you guys think taking in 10g of fat, albeit fish fat, before going to bed is a bad idea? The goal is to prevent catabolism when sleeping.

it's fine as long as your daily cals and macros are in checkand the sardines don't put you over.
The reason for not eating before bed is generally it's for people trying to lose fat. You can't feel yourself be hungry when you're asleep so it's a good time to not eat.If you don't get what you want you didn't want it bad enough
